Being from Michigan, and a Tigers fan I never seen them have that on their batting helmets... so I would assume its a mistake/glitch. I only noticed it in my last game. (Like I said played two games and restarted, and then played two more.) Later this evening when I am home I am going to play game three of the season so I will report back if its still like that or maybe that occurrence was a glitch... because they certainly do not have that in real life.

Here it is... you are correct it's in the game and it's not supposed to be there...



Seems like this was more of a thing back a few years ago when the batting helmets had those larger vents on the side of the helmets. This pic shows the Tigers road and home helmets as well as a Mets helmet from around 2007 or so and all three have the dot...


Here's the A's from a few years back, notice the vents, and in the game you see they still have the dot...


Seems like most teams no longer use this dot in real life and I haven't searched every team but it looks like the Mets do still use the dot although for some reason they do not have it in the game...


The Marlins to my knowledge, as a fan of there's, have never used the dot and definitely don't have it in 2017 but here it is on their helmet in this year's game...


So this is another uniform error that needs to be checked for all teams. Hope this post helped.

Thanks for the post and clarification SilverBullet1929! Wow... I am a pretty observant person and I never noticed teams in real life ever having that "dot" on their batting helmet. I am never going to unsee it now. I think it looks silly honestly. But yes, consider it another error and for many teams as it looks.

Is it really an "art asset" or is it a jersey that has a name programmatically added to it? There isn't a new "art asset" when I create a custom player with a custom name on the back?

Hopefully this is just a bug that they'll fix and the person answering tweets doesn't know wtf is going on.

crumpled....you're not the only one. I have the disc version for standard ps4 and I have the same exact jersey tears for each of the teams you mentioned. Its really annoying and very noticeable when ball is in play but in cut scenes you cant see it. ugh why cant they fix this.

Very strange. I don't see those on mine. The only difference is that I have to digital version.

I've seen this mention here a lot but have never seen it in game myself
I play as the Jays mostly and use the Blue jerseys a lot but have never seen the white stripe in the shoulder

I wonder if they will patch in the new matte helmets for the Mariners, Rangers, White Sox etc. I remember they did the same last year!

Does anyone know what causes the issue where you see a while line around the sleeves on colored jerseys? It's always on the same shoulder and it's been an issue for several years. I don't think anything in this game brings me out of the game world more than that. I wish they could fix it or at least explain what causes that bug to show.

i don't know but i changed my resolution from progressive to interlaced and it was less noticeable

On Sundays, Jays wear their red uniforms with red batting helmet as well. In the game, when selecting the red uni they wear the usual blue batting helmet !!

I don't think so there's only 7 alternates that have the line none of the other ones have it

I notice it sometimes on one arm of the A's green alternate when the players arm is outstretched

To be fair to SDS, they used the blue helmets when they used these jerseys on Canada day. Obviously, I'm not sure if Toronto updated their style guide to regard this change before the season. I actually don't fault them on this one.

What with the Colorado Rockies piping on their grey pants....the piping is way too thick. This looks awful with their grey road jerseys. Looks like the don't even match. In years past Grey with the pinstripes was an option so I didn't have to look at the hideous away pants
