I sincerely hope they'll make an exception to their 'we don't patch art' rules and fix those jerseys. I'm not even a Tigers fan and I feel mad for Tigers fans who will potentially have to put up with their away jerseys being completely wrong for an entire year.

It's not looking real hopeful. 😔

The red jerseys won't get fixed, I get that one, the missing names on the back of the Tigers jersey is a worse issue and is more than likely a violation of whatever mandatory style guide restrictions they have. If they don't fix that then I don't see how they can ever say the style guide is the be all end all ever again. To be fair though we need to see when the Tigers play their first road game to make sure the names aren't really coming off those jerseys this season.

Yeah I tried to look for any mention of the Tigers removing the names and can't find anything. We'll have to see obviously when they play their first road series, but I'm skeptical. This seems like an oversight to me.

            Agreed. Glaring oversight.

Ok let me get this thread back on track. Appreciate all the feedback, but let's reserve this for actual errors and missing things. We will have the game in hand real soon and the big boys will be on the field in a week. I will gladly update the original post with errors. I said before about the style guide bs. I had access last year and put some things to bed real quick. Not going to revisit that again. Finally, I'm fairly sure all teams must have a surname on the back of road jerseys unless grandfathered in. IE Yankees. Not gonna dig through rulebook for specifics. I know it's not required on homes for sure. Who knows. Maybe both. The other leagues do require it though

Well, I will wait till I get the game and can present side by side shots going forward. That being said, I believe jersey color constitutes as an error. I would hope, anyway.

Jersey color does constitute an error I think he means to not get too far with the back and forth convo. This thread should be more factual than just being a conversation.

Royals powder blue uniforms have an error. The blue numbers on the front are suppose to be outlined in white. They have no outline in the game.

The Nationals are basically maroon. Even the Twins red alt that I had high hopes for after the dev stream, looked pink during a night game. The Pirates alt jerseys are still grayish instead of black. Tigers jerseys are missing the names, which Ramone said won't be fixed until 18 on Millenium's stream. So that's lovely. Yankees no numbers on the batting helmets. Sigh. Another year of never using teams with red jerseys.

Waaaait a minute...I don't want to get off track with the thread but if I am reading this correctly, than the Tigers road uniform won't be fixed until 2018?

That is correct. Millenium asked Ramone about the Tigers not having names on the backs of their away jerseys and he said that they don't patch art, and it'll have to be addressed in 18.

This isn't necessarily true. They have patched uniforms in the past. When they first introduced the Brewers home blue alt they had it with the retro throwback helmet and last name font on the back of the jersey, they corrected that in a release day patch. It the same patch they replaced the Braves "screaming Indian" hat with the current bp hat. So i guess it's just on a case by case basis but it has been done before.

I don't know anything about programming, but I would have to think that a lot of the uniforms are carried over.

There were 2 instances of "patched art." 1. A few years ago, the braves brought back the yelling Indian logo, but it was met with so much resistance, they changed it out immediately. The game shipped with it, but it was quickly removed. 2. The Brewers throwback unis (or current navy ones...can't remember) were using one shade of blue which was a major error and eyesore. I wanna say the navy set had bright royal blue helmets and socks.

EDIT: dran1984 is a faster typer

They also patched in several matte helmets last year.

They'll also get all kinds of backlash from the public on this one, not just from places like OS.

Not to mention that the jerseys do have names on them in the style guide. So they'd be breaking the much proclaimed law of the land by not fixing this.
