Drafted Round 4 to my Yankees as CF/OF. Started as DH on the Trenton Thunder (sigh) since my Fielding was a lot worse than the current starting CF. Raised my Fielding and Reaction to mid 60s and became the starting CF. Sometime at the end of April, I was asked by the skipper to try RF (sigh #2) since that's a position the org needs. I said ok and became DH again since my Fielding rating is lower than the starting RF (sigh #3) Slowly raised my Fielding numbers up to low 70s and became the starting RF. Was pretty hard banking points as a DH. A week later on June 11, I got called to AAA. Right now, I'm the starting RF for the SWB RailRiders in mid June. Hopefully, I get a chance to go back to CF position, but I have my doubts cause my Player Card shows Primary: RF and Secondary: CF, LF. I really don't want to challenge Judge for RF. I'd rather fight it out with Ellsbury. But that's how the chips fell. Can't wait to get off work and put in some more work .

Could someone please tell me if defence and basrunning feels more rewarding this year? Does my 1B freeze in the middle of a play when he is away from the ball? Can i backup throws like C backing up 1B?
I'm a RTTS only player trying to find out if 17 is worth 80€!

Stoked for this. Want to make a shortstop, but may end up going for a CF. Would love to (finally) get to play for my team (Jays) but I'm not sure if I'd rather fight it out with Tulo or Pillar for an every day roster spot. Either way, guess I have no choice where I go, so hopping on tomorrow, gonna edit in some Jays prospects and probably some others from AL East rivals and then hop in! Great way to wait until OSFM.

Yes it is very good , so many choices to make. I am looking forward to the patch with the extra RTTS content.

Haven't heard about an RTTS patch either, but I had to install 2 patches (2.6 GB and 200+ MB) after installing the game on Saturday.

I think that they at least hinted at the possibility of patching in more PYP content during the season.

That makes sense. While playing RTTS, I realized how easy it would be to add interactions throughout the year as they are fairly generic and text base. "A young ballplayer gets called into the manager's office to discuss his role with the team." could mean many things.

Yes , right after launch, there will be two patches. One of the patches will be with extra RTTS PYP content, it is confirmed

RTTS is so awesome this year and those ball physics are just amazing. My 1st baseman is doing pretty well in AA ball ( Twins ) , batting .315 14 HR and 53 RBI's so I am hoping for a call up to AAA soon, this taking longer than I expected, such is the life of a minor league ball player.

On July 15th, 2017 my 4th round pick 70 OVR RF (converted from CF) got the call up to the bigs to take over for Judge as the starting RF. Yanks were playing Boston in Boston, so I had a nice camera pan of Fenway right before I stepped into the box for my 1st MLB at bat. I drooled over The Green Monster knowing it would be the target of many of my hits and HRs. The starting pitcher was David Price. As a switch hitter, my plan was to pull a fastball onto or over The Green Monster. 1st pitch was a sinker that taps the outside corner and I whiff so early I almost completed the swing before the ball reached the mitt. I knew I had to calm down. I asked for time a took a few deep breaths before stepping back into the box. Second pitch was a 4 seam near the outside middle. This time I waited, a bit too long as I hit a fly ball to right field. Which wraped around the Pesky Pole for my 1st MLB hit and HR. Rounding the bases and looking up at the stunned crowd, I knew I finally made it to The Show.

I want my Yankees to draft me. Kinda dumb that they took that option from us. Probably going to do a closer w/o no "steriids" aka buy training points. lol.

You still sort of can. I replayed the Showcase games many many many many many times to try for the Yankees. I did extremely well both games and the best I got was 1st round 17th pick to Houston. 1st round 16th is Yankees so that kind of made me angry. I finally decided to just sim 1st Showcase and go to draft right after and after a few tries, I got the Yankees to draft me in the 4th round.

Is starting with a created player, still not an option in this mode? I haven't played The Show since 15' but I remember the current player option, didn't allow me to use my created player. I like the mode but I hate the grind, would be nice to be able to create a 90+ ovr LF from the start.
