I made a SS, I put 3 flex points in speed to max it out. 1 in Arm, 1 in Fielding.

1st Showcase game, 4-5, all singles - 2 SB, 2 RBI, an error and a wrong base throw. 2nd game, 1-4, single, SB and a CS.

I was going to be fine with whoever drafted me except 2 teams - unfortunately one drafted me - the NYY, 2nd round. But I had a save so about to do the draft over again..

So far I love the PYP.

Quick question: this is my first Show game and am loving RTTS. I'm tinkering with settings some....do yall play with injuries on? Any other settings that are a must to turn on/off?

I continued my RttS career from The Show 16, which was continued from The Show 15. I was in my 4th MLB season coming off an MVP and listed as #1 in MVP candidates in mid-July. I was putting up absurd numbers. And then I got called in by the manager to tell me I was going to AAA. Hit a homer in each of my first 2 games there, got called in again, sent to AA. To make matters worse, the game inexplicably pulled my rating from an 82 to a 56. I'm so beyond frustrated that I don't even want to play the game.

Quick question: this is my first Show game and am loving RTTS. I'm tinkering with settings some....do yall play with injuries on? Any other settings that are a must to turn on/off?

I do but if I get injured for 4 months I go back to a recent save.. A couple weeks is fine but no way I'm missing 4 months.

Took 23 games but I finally got my first homer in AA.

I started with a right handed hitting shortstop. +2 contact, +2 power & +1 fielding.

I also created a left handed center fielder. I went with more speed & fielding on this one.

I'll probably restart a new guy once all the server issues have been fixed.

Started with a SS (high contact, speed and defense). Did not do great in the showcase games and went last pick in the third round to the Cubs. Since I have a carry over player already playing for the cubs I decided to go back to school.

Second run at the showcase I only did slightly better and was picked mid 3rd round by the Diamondbacks so I figured I would sign with them. I had never played for them.

Came out of the gates on fire for the first two to three series (I like that they are mostly 5 game series) and was hitting around .500. I got not one but two scenes where the hitting coach "bonded with me" over my hot start.

After the second one I immediately started a slump and over the next few series my average dropped over 100 points. I only wonder if there is a slumping player cutscene coming up.

And I still fnd myself wondering if it isn't somehow manipulating things behind the scenes.

I made a SS this year, first time ever doing SS. Focused my points more into fielding and contact, I had a meh batting performance in my showcase games. Was drafted rd 4 by the Brewers. Not happy with the team I decided to go to college for a year and do the showcase again. Did better and went rnd 2 to the padres. Really enjoying it!


Side note: others who are SS, are you noticing and insane amount of steals by the cpu? Anytime i have to set up in the double play they steal instead. I had to bump the stealing slider down to 2

Is Pave your Path like 2k, where they'll force you to play badly for certain cutscenes to make sense?

Just got the game. Will most likely create a 2nd Baseman modeled after Brandon Phillips. Will also create a starting pitcher sometime in the future.
