My foot is like swiss cheese after this game, I shot myself in it soo much. I must have left an army of men on in this one as did the Indians. However, they took way more advantage of their opportunities than I did. My problem is two-strike counts. once the ball is thrown, no matter where it is, I am probably swinging no matter what lol. just another thing I have to add to the list of things I NEED to work on.

As a frequent player of the Show in past years and often doing fantasy drafts in past years I decided this year to do so again. Only this time with Op Sports rosters that you guys have made and throwing in my own wrinkle of editing a minor league player as myself, something I decided to do for the fun of it. Let me know what you guys think. My strategy was to go heavy on hitters early in the draft as I feel I'm better at pitching on this game, plus most west coast fields are pretty big and pitcher friendly. I loaded up on prospects as well as I plan to play this out for many years, plus it gives me trade chips if need be near the deadline. I created myself as a CF rated 83 overall as a speed/contact leadoff man.

Ok, I guess hovering around All-Star Plus on pitching is having an affect on both my hitting and pitching. As you will clearly see my two-strike approach is not working at all. Free swinger I was in perfect form in this game. Costing me hits and probably a couple walks here and there.

I spent a couple hours today doing a 30-team control fantasy draft. I did get through without any freezes. It's up on my twitch channel twitch.tv/h8_messy

This took a while but I wanted something kind of realistic. Im going to be playing as the Cubs and had the 14th pick I believe.

Trout went first of course. But I went in wanting to take contracts and age into the equation. Meaning a guy like Corey Seager went a lot higher cause he's really young aND still on a long rookie contract. I dropped Harper and Machado lower because they are free agents after 2 seasons. The teams that got them, I loaded them up on win now players with the theory that they would try to win now to either convince them to stay or at least get a ring out of them.

I actually like most of the teams but mine lol. A couple lower rated High potential guys I like I forgot about until later on so I didn't want to put them on my own team.

I ended up with like Yelich, Baez, Pederson and a couple young pitchers I liked. My ration is very solid but my lineup looks pretty messy. I'm okay with it though. I want to make moves later on and build a team not just have everyone in place already that I liked.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Since '17 was released I have been working a lot of overtime and haven't had as much time to play as I did with '16 leading up to opening day this year. Finally had some time this weekend. Using the OSFM roster, I did about 20 different drafts to get a team that felt like the right one I have my first Fantasy Drafted Franchise for '17...The Atlanta Braves.

With '16 I finished playing on default All-Star+ for hitting and HOF+ for pitching. This year so far I am playing on default HOF for both. Team average is low so far, but still pounding homeruns. I've had some really well pitched games and I've also gotten mashed when I miss location. I'll stick with this for now, but I may decide to increase pitching difficulty if my team starts to dominate.

I didn't write down every pick, but I had the 13th or 14th overall pick and I my top 5 picks were Syndegaard, Dozier, Archer, Jose Ramirez and Adam Jones. I really like this team and I drafted a bunch of guys that I never used before and some old reliables who I knew I liked to use.

And if you draft all 30 teams can you still have injuries? Or are you not using 30 Team Control...

We just wrapped up the road trip to start the season and we are 6-2. Had some great battles. Opening day we trailed by one with two outs in the 9th and Judge blasted our first HR of the season off the Mets closer Bedrosian to tie the game and send it to extras. The next inning Thames hit a 2-R HR which would be the game winner. Archer pitched a CG SHO in game 2 and in game 3 we lost 15-3!!! That is prob the worst pitching performance I have ever had in the show. We then went and took 2 of 3 in Pittsburgh and the one game we lost was a 3-2 L in 16 innings! Dozier homered off Britton in the 9th to force extra innings there. Bats came alive over the last three games of the road trip including the two game sweep of the Marlins and we raised our team AVG from just over .200 to just under .250.

The team mashed 18 HR over the 8 game span, led by Thames with 5 and Dozier/Judge with 4 each. Thames hit safely in all 8 games and finished the trip .378, 5 HR, 10 RBI.

Archer had two starts and went 2-0, 0.56 ERA, 16.0 inn, 20K/1BB, 0.69 WHIP.

Betances pitched in 4 games. 4.0 inn, 0.00 ERA, 3/3 SV, 9K/0BB, 0.00 WHIP. 12 up and 12 down for him. He's nasty.

I had 4 everyday starters bat under .180 on the trip. Swanson had a 3 hit game to end the trip and that only gave him 4 total hits! Hopefully those struggling can turn it around at Suntrust and hopefully the others continue to mash!

I'm not sure what others are seeing, but I don't do 30 team control and in my current franchise a majority of the teams have a bench. I just counted 6 total teams in MLB with 10 position players/15 pitchers. The rest have between 11-13 position players and 12-14 pitchers. I feel like this is better than how it was last year.

ok, first game not on default sliders. Started using the OS average slider set and had a really good game... well if you call still striking out on pitches miles out of the zone a good game... it just felt good. I didn't have any issues with slideritis or anything. so all in all good game...

Also since i am using quick counts i have to also start to not just swing first pitch every time no matter what the count. Especially when i start out 1-1. When you finish the draft and go to the regular season, some teams do only have like 1 bench player. I think it was just 2 or 3 teams. But since I have 30 team control I just fixed it for them. And I have other "users" to switch them to afterwards. For instance one of the users has it where the cpu can only edit lineups. Another where they are free to do everything. Another where they can't do anything. So after I fix all of the rosters to hold a real bench then I set it to where they can only mess with their lineups or handle call ups/send downs after injuries. The CPU should handle their roster normally after the initial fix. It's just that when the cpu is making a roster from scratch things can go haywire. At least that's my impression.

So I'm compiling a list to use for 30 team control fantasy drafts. It's going to take into account current production, age, contract, and potential. Just some thoughts on where I'm at would be appreciated. Once again, I take guys like Machado and Harpers contracts, only havin 2 more years, as a negative in this aspect because the team could take a really great player like them with the risk that they leave or have a younger cornerstone peice with say 4 or 5 years to build a team around them.

With that said I am lost on where to actually place those two, then you have guys like Donaldson on a one-year deal, Scherzer who is 32, Cano with a lot of years on his contract but he's aging... so thoughts on anything all around would help. Just give me your opinion.
