Ehh if I was an Mlb player, I'd say no too. Having my face in a game others play would be creepy.

Can't really stop them from the likeness unless you leave the players association. I would still find it creepy if I was a player.

It does seem weird how a small few players just decide to not get their faces scanned. I understand the scanning process happens during spring training and that's a pretty hectic time for ball players. I feel like it is just an announcement "Sony guys are here today from X:XX am to X:XX pm for face scans if you want to go" and some just don't have the time or would rather spend their free time in the cage or with family.

However, if it were up to me and I was a pro I would be the first in line to get my mug scanned. But alas, I am just a lowly school teacher.

doubt it, bryant had his done during sring training for 16 and it wasnt patched into 16

Glad Trout got it done but now I'm curious why he said no for so long and suddenly said yes. It's like I'd be more at peace if he just never agreed to it ever. This development is even more perplexing lol.

The character team is 8 people there are 30 teams in the leagues. Not only do they have to convert the face scan into a file that the game can use they have uniform corrections to deal with and they have to build all the equipment. It's simple math.

So you prioritize uniforms and equipment builds over actually having the player faces accurate? As the OP said, several of these players have been in the league for years and are MLB All Star players...

That's not what he's saying. He was pointing out that the 8 people that work on this area have to balance doing faces, uniforms, and equipment. When you have 30 teams with a couple of uniform selections each, at least 25 players per team to work on, and equipment for those players, time becomes very precious and trying to find the "perfect" balance becomes an impossible task.

Therefore there are going to be things that don't get as much attention as maybe we as the gamers would like.
