Gordon/Berrios is way too much for Kemp. Probably Tyler Jay/Kohl Stewart works. He's still owed a lot of money and is a liability on defence but if he's hitting, one of those guys is ok.

Sounds solid. I'm willing to pick up that contract to get some offense. Right now my starting OF is Kepler in RF, Buxton CF and a platoon of Berry/Escobar in LF. Kepler is struggling bad.

I'm struggling with Jose Bautista. I can't seem to catch a damn hit in Diamond Dynasty with the guy. Any tips? lol

Secondly, is there some type of glitch with equipment color? i've changed player equipment colors and they still remain the same in my diamond dynasty team. Any way around that?

His SB numbers give him value even when he isn't hitting. It's still early, but I say your package is pretty dang solid

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

I had Dalton Pompey on the block and the Giants are wanting him as they are looking for CF. I am 46-26 in first as the Jays but I have had a ton of injuries to my outfield. The Giants are 47-29 and also in first in their division. They have Pence out for the year.

I was wondering if it would be fair to send Pompey (70/B) to the Giants for Kelby Tomlinson (73/C) and Gorky Hernandez (65/C). Here are the stats:

Pompey: .111 in limited action in MLB but hitting .240/.305/.340 with 2 HR and 17 RBI and 2 steals in 150 at bats.

Hernandez: .202/.330/.281 with 1HR and 9 RBI in 89 at bats for the big club (WAR 0.3)

Tomlinson: .261/.363/.387 with 10 HR and 17 RBI in 142 at bats (WAR 0.6)

                - I am wondering if this is fair for Pompey or would I have to add another AAAA player to even it out?

                Thanks

I think I'll save myself and a lot of other Yankee fans a lot of time when I ask: what caliber starting pitcher do you think we can get without trading Frazier and Torres at the deadline?

I know I am going to keep Sheffield locked down as well, so that basically means Mateo, Rutherford, Adams, Fowler, Acevedo, Andujar, Abreu, Wade are the top chips to deal in my book.

Couple years of control are key, id think.

Not Cole, Quintana, or Archer. Maybe Sonny Gray depending on how he's pitching. You could get Ervin Santana. A rental in Darvish for Rutherford I'd think. Just basically you're out on any aces unless it's a rental

Yeah, Gray has been my thought. He works well for me because I like his pitch assortment and how much control he has left. He's going to be one of the main guys I keep an eye on as my season progresses.

I've failed at maintaining the Realistic Trade Log so I owe my apologies there. If somebody is interested in picking it up (or just wants to gather a list of approved trades over the past twenty or so pages, I can update it) you can let me know.

I'm curious, what is Rougned Odor's value? As strange as it seems, in my Tex 'Chise, I'm considering dealing him. Probably dumb given he'll be a 90 OVR in a season or two but I'm giving it some real consideration. His stats in my 'Chise are pretty typical for him. .249 AVG with 10 HR and 28 RBI on June 8th. I'm kind of hoping to put the wheels in motion for a Star First Baseman and Ian Happ at the deadline. I'm thinking it's far from realistic but I'm playing with the possibilities here. My only untouchables are Darvish, Beltre, Lucroy, Mazara and Gallo. I'd prefer to hold on to Taveras who is currently raking in AA but after a pretty successful first round selection in the draft, I think I can part with him. Just for additional info in case it impacts anyone, International Free Agent results:

Otani - TEX (TEX had to agree to Re-Sign Darvish)
                        Fujinami - MIA
                        Yamada - BAL

                        Standings:

Additionally, I'm curious about the value of J. Schoop as he may be a deadline deal I pull off for Baltimore given I signed Yamada to them.

How do you propose you get a star 1B or Happ with the untouchables you listed?

To clarify, I'm talking about a string of trades, not one. And I stated that I knew it wasn't much of a possibility. Rather it's my in-game goal to get there. My main goal is to go out and get Happ. I'm curious as to if trading Rougned opens up some opportunities there as I don't think a swap with the Cubs makes sense.

Edit: To add to this. Gallo and Mazara are future cornerstones. Lucroy is my big FA obstacle. Beltre will retire a Ranger and I justify the Otani signing by "making a promise" to bring back his idol, Darvish. If a deal isn't possible without those pieces, a deal isn't possible. Simple as that.

I really think the Cubs only give up Happ for a pitcher with team control. I'm not sure how to get a player like that to the Rangers to send to the Cubs
