Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Funny enough, I was just about to ask about McGee's value. Had a rough year last year, but it's Coors, and he's shown a lot of value in the AL East before, someone I wouldn't mind having a look at if the price is right.Comment

This, I can agree with. McGee would be a nice get, especially since I think both are expiring contracts.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Huge variations. If he pitches like an ace again it's huge. Right now, he's a risk after last year. I'd say you're best to hang on and let him rebuild his value, which would be something like an A plus a B or 2 next off-season should he land in the Cy conversation again.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Buchter would be nice. Hand seems to be what they have with Montegomery to some extent although on the default roster they don't have Hand's stamina to what it should be as he made quite a few start at last year.Comment

Any thoughts on what the Cubs would give up for him?Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I was thinking about basing the trade on the Will Smith to the Giants trade from last year. Giants gave up Susac and Bickford to get him, a couple solid players. Buchter had a better season last year but less of a track record. He also has more team control.
Any thoughts on what the Cubs would give up for him?Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Awaiting the OSFM roster to drop and trying to plan a minor move or 2 to start the season with my Blue Jays.
Firstly, looking to get either a Mid level LF or 1B. I am happy with Pearce at one of the positions but not liking Carrera or Smoak as full time players. I will look to grab a guy like Pagan or Loney from FA first but they will likely be with another roster by the time OSFM drops.
I was looking at Robinson from the Nats who was just sent down, Moya from Detroit, Jaso from the Pirates. Someone on that level who can play 1B or LF. Eventually I will grab a guy on cargo/mccutchen level closer to the deadline if needed but looking for a mid level trade during spring training that's realistic and fair.
Any ideas of potential targets besides the ones mentioned above??
Thanks!

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Started a franchise with the Angels as I feel they're a very interesting team to work with. I was desperate to get rid of Pujols cause I really didn't wanna bother with struggles with age & contract.
Was able to get these deals (opinions?):
Pujols, Low-system A potential prospect to the Cubs for Kyle Schwarber (Rizzo got injured & out for the season)
Simmons, Shoemaker & Pennington to the As for Sonny Gray and Marcus Semien (I hate Simmons in the show series)
I realize these aren't exactly realistic as real-life options as I doubt the As would part with Semien, their project.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Agreed. They didn't even want to give up schwarber in the chapman trade let alone for one of the worst contracts in baseballComment
