I'm not sure the Yanks and Braves match up too well here. Coppy would ask for Frazier and would be rightfully denied. Rutherford is too far from the majors to be the headliner and Kapriellian just had TJ.

I read the other day the Braves would have been willing to move him if they would have been able to work a deal for Q/Archer/Gray in the offseason. So the Braves would need to acquire a top of the line starter before they move him.

Plus if Julio is pitching how he is IRL then there's no need to sell low on him.
Mateo also plays CF. Agree about asking for Frazier. Doesn't matter, he ain't going on the cheap like they were hoping.

This maybe be crazy but what would it take to bring Miguel Cabrera to the Yankees?

Also what about a Sonny Gray to the Dodgers for Puig + Verdugo? Too low or too high?
Sonny Gray has a 3.75 ERA for me & I'm at the trade deadline.

I don't think they have enough, tbh.

Puig + Verdugo gets it done no problem in the game because I'm pretty sure Puig is still a monster in game. Real life Puig is not producing much surplus so it would probably take Alvarez + Verdugo + one or two more arms or a 45 FV hitter and exchange Puig for Davis or some other guy on an expiring deal.

As for Cabrera to the Yankees, I'm not sure anyone is going to meet any kind of price the Tigers would have on him. Signed through 2023 for big bucks and having a down year so far who knows what kind of production he has left. Could be anywhere from negative surplus to $50M+...
Start with Greg Bird and add prospects from there depending on what you think Cabrera FV is. I'd say Bird + Rutherford/Mateo + an arm

After thinking it over for a week or two I've decided to keep hold of Kiermaier and Archer as there value isn't going down any time soon, no need to really trade them yet.

I was thinking the big piece that I could move is Corey Dickerson, as he's having a great year and is in Arbitration so is going to get really expensive(by Rays standards), pretty quickly. (He's hitting .290 with 19 homers coming towards the All Star break)

I was thinking maybe moving him to the Cardinals in a deal headlined by Carson Kelly? They are in the wild card race but need a big bat, the Rays have never really had a catcher for any amount of time. Is that possible, or am I aiming too high? If so, where abouts do you think he goes?

What does it take to get 1B Eric Hosmer to the Yankees? His stats: 287 AVG, 11 HR, 47 RBI's, 95 H's, 361 OBP, 450 SLG, 811 OPS, 2.6 WAR.

How much more would it take to add Mike Minor on to the deal? His stats: 7-2 W-L, 89 IP, 67 SO, 2.51 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 0.9 WAR.

Something like Bird for Hosmer and add in Mateo or two arms for Minor. Bird is hurt and I'm not sure the Yankees are as high on him as they once were but they would only trade him if they knew they could re-up Hosmer. The Minor trade is a little trickier as his in game stats are pretty great but he only has one more year so the Yankees would ship out Mateo only if they think he can keep that up this year and next. Something like Tate and Montgomery if you don't think his good form is sustainable.

Hey Can anyone answer a question I have? is the TOT glitch gone? in 2016, when you sign someone in free agency, or when the cpu auto drops someone from mlb roster to aaa at end of year, the TOT rather then the team abbrev would appear.
                  Has this Been fixed, thanks

Any time someone changes teams in season you will get TOT (as in total) instead of any team abbreviation. I really wish they would create a new stat line for each team + a total instead.

Thanks, Just realized i posted in wrong thread, but appreciate the answer, I understand the TOT when players change teams, but I have been getting it if the cpu drops them from mlb roster to aaa roster while staying with the same team, is this carrying over to mlb 17? when the cpu drops from roster expansion to end of season back to 25 man is when this happens in 2016 the show.

2020 Season - Braves Fantasy Draft

So I guess I'm looking for fairness over realism here...

Target: RP Dellin Betances (MIN) - 32 yrs old 85 OVR A POT - 3 years left on contract ($6.8M/7.1/7.5)
*Actually not sure about contract years left as I don't do 30 team control...*

Minnesota absolutely sucks. They have Mike Trout but have won 33 games (57 L's) so far this season which is the 2nd worst in the majors. They won the WS in 2017 and ever since have fallen off the planet. Looking at their roster it is absolutely bare.

I'd give up my farm system for Trout but we know we can't discuss trading him in here lol

I was thinking about my best prospect who is ranked #5 right now.

21 yr old 68 OVR mid A POT SS Miguel Fuentes who is a switch hitter with great contact, good speed, decent fielder, and has yet to make his debut. He was the #5 pick in the 2017 MLB Draft. He is also a guy who can play 2B/3B/OF based on his secondary POS. IMO he projects more as a 2B which would go great with MIN Dansby Swanson.

Would I need to even add anything else?

                        Maybe a B SP prospect? Low/mid/high?

                        Just keep in mind it's 2020 and he's 32.

So I'm just past the All-Star break with the Yankees in my first season. I'm 54-40, tied with the Red Sox for 1st in the AL East after I just got swept in Minnesota. My bullpen really let me down in those 3 games.

I'm in the market for a middle reliever. Any recommendations that are realistic?

Brad Hand, Juan Nicasio, and Addison Reed are on the shortlist, but wanted to see what you guys had to say.

Madses or Doolittle from Oakland? Also remember seeming someone on the Rockies perform well in my franchise.

Hey guys I am in the middle of June 2017 with my Braves franchise and am wanting to trade of some of my vets. I am currently 7 games out of the east.
Here are the guys I am looking to deal. What is a realistic return?

                              Jamie Garcia - 82 ovr, 2.54 era
                              Matt Adams - 80 ovr, .302 avg, 15 hrs
                              Brandon Phillips - 78 ovr, .270 avg, 5 hrs
                              Adonis Garcia - 78 ovr, .278, 10 hrs
                              Nick Markakis - 78 ovr, .287, 8 hrs
Jim Johnson - 79 ovr, 1.5 era with 15 saves

I have been offered a few deals:

                              Trade 1:
                              Indians get Nick Markakis
Braves get William Benson - 18y o, C rated OF

Indians are in first and in desperate need on RF help.

                              Trade 2:
Astros get Jamie Garcia, Matt Adams and Jim Johnson.
Braves get Kyle Tucker (20 yo, B rated OF), Colin Moran (20 yo, B rated 3B) and another B rated SP.

Houston is 5 GB in their division. Charlie Morton the #5 in their rotation currently has a 6.00 era

                              Trade 3:
Yankees get Jamie Garcia, Matt Adams and Adonis Garcia.
Braves get Clint Frazier (A rated OF) and Dustin Fowler (B rated OF).

Yankees are in first. But Chase Headley is batting .235 at 3B, Their fifth start is Jon Niese and Greg Bird is hurt.

I feel like Trade 2 is fair and trade 3 is a overpay by the Yankees.

I like the fact that you shot for the moon but all of these are so lopsided in favor of the Braves. You listed a lot of old players and rentals. You can't get any substantial prospects for those guys.

No team is going to trade a 2016 top 2 pick in their draft for Nick Markakis. He's not really even worth the $11 million he gets per year

The Astros would laugh at the thought of giving you Kyle Tucker for Matt Adams who can't hit lefties, Jaime Garcia who is an injury prone #3/4 starter and Jim Johnson who would be like the 4th best arm in the Astros Bullpen

Again, the Yankees would never give up 2 top 100 prospects for Jaime Garcia (see above), Matt Adams (see above) and Adonis Garcia who is a bad 3B who is old and never produced. Plus the Yankees cut him like 2 years ago.
