Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Salvy is a hard piece to gauge since he is on a team friendly deal and the Royals don't want to deal him. But if the Royals were to deal him I think he would have a good market. Washington, Angels, Brewers would be interested in Salvy. I think it would take one top 10 prospect and 2 in the 11-25 range. So a high B prospect and 2 high C/ low B prospects
Herrera is on the market and teams that are in the hunt that will need a reliever will be in on Herrera. So the Nats, Red Sox, Astros, Dodgers, Brewers are some teams that could be in on Herrera. I think it would take a mid B prospect and 2 high C prospects, but it would've taken a bigger package if he wasn't a year out from free agency or when he will be deal which is around the deadlineComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Does anyone have any ideas of backup catchers that might be available via trade. I want someone with more offensive ability than Maile for the Blue Jays. Not looking for a star, but someone who could fringe start if Martin got injured.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Bard I know we had discussed a Realmuto to Tor for Bichette and Pearson if the Marlins took on Martins contract would they be able to add more in the way of prospects coming their way or would they have to give up more in the deal to get him? Guess the real question is Martin in relation to his contract a plus or minus asset at this point?Comment

They would likely try to call up the Rockies and try to dump Martin or to another team for nothing.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Couple Guys who may be worth looking at are Kurt Suzuki from the Braves and Devin Mesoraco from the reds both are supposed to be backups going into camp that could potentially start if called upon. Or possibly Lucroy he is an FA right now IRL and I also know the rockies gave up not much to get him at the deadline
Mesoraco is interesting. What would the blue jays have to part with to get him? Lucroy is nice but is asking as ton of money as a free agent in my franchise.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Honestly I dont think it would take much. 2014 he was an Allstar but three straight years of injuries and poor play when healthy coupled with how much he is owed this year and the fact that Barnhart has supplanted him I think the reds would give him away for a high c type guy or a high c and a low c
Oh wow, that cheap? I’ll have a look and see what works. He would be a prefect fit. Worst case he’s a backup, best case he finds his stroke and stays healthy.

In the game he’s 82 overall with 2 years 7 mil per year left on his contract. I was thinking of giving the Reds Resse McGuire (22 years old, 60 overall B catcher). He’s a defensive catcher who could become a nice backup to Barnhart in the next season or two. I would also give them a low C minor leaguer (50-60 overall) sweeten it. Is that fine?

Any possible trades for the Yankees to acquire Chris Archer? Obviously would have to pay a little more since he's in the division, but could I make the trade without moving Torres?New York Yankees
New York Jets
