Ellsbury is weird because is still decently valuable even with his contract...but of course his contract knocks it down.

He is worth 40.5 WAR - but then subtract his contract from it and now he is a -$24 million.

Tomas now is worth -$46 million since he is a negative WAR player for his career.

Tomas is about half as bad as Ellsbury, so this is just a meh trade for both sides. Zona likely says no because they are strapped for cash as is.

Edit: One of Ellsbury's years I counted is actually an option. So like I thought Ellsbury is actual closer if not a little in the positive making him more valuable than Tomas...he just makes twice as much.

O'Neil is worth more than Godly, not by a huge amount.

        Good fits?

        Texas Rangers
        Anaheim Angels
        Los Angeles Dodgers
        Baltimore Orioles
        Minnesota Twins
        Milwaukee Brewers
        Chicago Cubs
New York Yankees (he played in LA, he'll be fine there)

He has about ~$134 million in value. Greinke is very valuable still...and that is if he manages a 5 WAR per season which isn't crazy for him if his bounceback in 2017 was for real.

So to put this into reality, Greinke could manage to get a top 1-10 prospect hitter and a top 1-10 prospect pitcher. Or, 1-10 hitter and one 11-25 hitter for top prospects in baseball.

        Rangers Receive:

So I started a fresh franchise to get me through the winter, this time going with the Padres.

As everyone knows, they severely lack an ace, or even just a starter with any real major league success, so what would it take to to get one of these guys? Pretty much everyone but most of the major leaguers, Gore, and Tatis Jr. are up for grabs.

          Julio Teheran, ATL
          Matt Harvey, NYM
          Jake Odorizzi, TB
          Garrett Richards, LAA

For Harvey as a Mets fan is a weird player. He's a very good pitcher but he hasn't shown it recently. So it's kinda of an odd trade as the Padres dont have much that the Mets could use but then again Brad Hand may not be a bad option to include Austin Hedges but idk if its just me but Will Myers may need to be in it for me if i was the Mets.

Harvey has fallen off a lot...

Hand for Harvey straight up would work. The Mets were searching for a top tier reliever for him this off-season. Myers or Hedges would be a very large overpay.

I added Hand’s extension to his contract before starting the franchise so he may have more value now (not sure, just throwing that out there).

I have no problem trading Hedges, but the only way I can is if I get a catcher back or in another trade as I would have no real replacement, not that he hits for much anyways.

                What about the others?

Also, to elaborate on who's not available from me:

                Dinelson Lamet, SP
                Carter Capps, RP
                Miguel Diaz, RP
                Wil Myers, 1B
                Yangervis Solarte, INF
                Carlos Asuaje, INF
                Manuel Margot, CF
                Hunter Renfroe, RF

On top of Gore and Tatis Jr.

Wasnt saying all 3 but Anderson hasnt given up on Harvey and theirs talk that Betancis would be a possible choice if we were to send him away. So as a Mets fan i'd never take a Hand for Harvey deal even though i'm kinda of giving up on Harvey. As a fan i dont think personally the Padres would offer enough to send Harvey away unless we got something young in return as Harvey still has a chance to turn his career back around.

Yeah Harvey's value is so low right now that I couldn't see him being traded. They'd have to give him away and run the risk of him going to another team and possibly having a big year.

Are there guys in the game that are just untouchable? I'm using The Mets, but trying to find a way to pull off the Yelich trade. My plan was to edit Yelich in to a terrible player, trade him to the Mets for my worst player, then trade Yelich to The Brewers for prospects, then trade the prospects to Miami and get my player back and then set Yelich's ratings back to what they were. I edited Yelich down to a 46 overall and edited my worst player to a 92 and they still wouldn't accept

Yeah I dropped his potential to F and I bumped the potential of the guy I was trying to trade to A and Miami denied the trade

Since Castro wants no part of a rebuild, what is a fair return for him?
I'm in year 2 of a Marlins rebuild (roster update just before the Yellich deal) and Castro is 90 ovr with a .293 avg and 28 hr 2017 campaign.

Without going through and looking at teams that need a SS/2B what is a fair return should I make the deal this trade deadline....

Hey guys I am looking to trade for Clint Frazier in year 2 of my franchise with the Braves. The Yankees have Judge, Gardner, Ellsbury and Stanton in the OF so obviously Frazier is expendable. We are in Spring Training so here is my proposal.

                            Yankees Get:
                            70 OVR - A rated SP prospect I drafted in 17.
                            59 OVR - B rated 2B prospect I drafted in 17.
72 OVR - C rated OF Danny Santana

                            Braves Get:
71 OVR - A rated OF Clint Frazier

Alright, just now starting 2017 post season with my 2017 Twins. One thing is abundantly clear to me is (aside from pitching) that I need more quality depth on my 40 man for next season. Injuries to Mauer, Buxton, Sano, Polanco, Berrios, and Castro have really hurt me down the stretch. I'm looking for guys who can play multiple positions, don't cost a lot and preferably have some options. Two guys have caught my eye and I'm wondering what I would take to bring them over. Adam Frazier from the Pirates, and Corey Spangenberg from the Friars. They both have utility in the IF and OF and both have multiple years of control which I like. Ideas? Also if y'all have any reccomendations on utility guys to target thatd be cool too. Thanks!

Chris Taylor and Ian Happ would be a couple to look at. Not sure how many years of control you would have.
