    1) Edinson Volquez - Miami 10 games back of the wild card. 3-9, 4.83/1.51, 103K/57BB, 0.9 WAR in 117.1 IP. 2 years/22 M left.

    2) Gio Gonzalez - Washington is 12.5 back of a wild card. 4-9, 3.39/1.34, 112K/35BB, 3.3 WAR in 119.1 IP. 1yr 12 mil left

    3) Matt Garza - Milwaukee 8.5 out of a wild card. 8-8, 3.65/1.32, 83K/36BB, 0.6 WAR in 118.1 IP. 1 year 12.6 left.

    4) Patrick Corbin - DBacks 6.5 back of a wild card. 4-8, 3.31/1.25, 81K/28BB, 1.3 WAR, 89.3 IP. 1 year 3.9 left.

    5) Trevor Cahill - Padres out, 4-10, 4.49/1.50, 113K/51BB, 2.1 WAR, 106.1 IP. 1 year 1.7 left.

What would be the going price for these guys? I am also open to suggestions. Would take guys with 2 years left if makes sense as I have some openings next year. Could also look at rentals. 75-80 overall who can be trusted in the rotation.

    Thanks!

Sorry to bump this, but I am at the deadline and can't advance next day as it's the deadline. Would like some quick help.

    Thanks !

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

      I'm at the deadline with the Angels and I'm looking to sell. We're very middle of the pack and have a lot of people out of contract, some of whom are performing well enough to be decent rentals for people. What sort of value, if any, could I get for;

      SP Jesse Chavez 5-4, 3.39 ERA/1.33 WHIP
      LF Cameron Maybin .282 AVG/.799 OPS 8HR, 14SB
      LF Ben Revere .280 AVG/737 OPS 1HR, 26 SB
      RF David Peralta (2 years ARB left) .280 AVG/.776 OPS, 13HR, 6SB

Would probably ditch Espinosa as well but I doubt I'd get anything at all for him as he's hitting .230, although with 13 HR.

I got Peralta from the DBacks when they offered him and Shelby Miller for Kole Calhoun, which might have been a mistake but I really need the pitching and figured I could flip Peralta for prospects as he's having a solid year.

That looks like 7 x 4 x 10 = $280 -$50 for a surplus of $230 which is more than Vlad Jr + Alford + SRF and then some more. Like were talking an insane amount of value.

I didn't realize it till I did that math. Jose Rameriz isn't going anywhere

So what prospects could I get for Donaldson to send him to the Cardinals. I dont think I could get Reyes but what would that trade look like? Could I get Kelly, weaver and Flaherty?

Packages more along the lines of these. But others feel free to chime in

Moose for Travis or Dalbec + Raudes

Hosmer for Forrest Whitley and Daz Cameron

Britton for Soto, Fedde and Voth

Todd Frazier for S. Garrett and Drew Steckenrider

The Hosmer deal looks good to me from the Astros perspective. You're right, no way they would give up Martes or Tucker for a one season rental. Whitley and Cameron hurts (mostly Whitley) but it would be a risk I could see them taking.

Would Dalbec, Ockimey, Ball be enough for Moose? Or does Raudes have to be in it? Also can Pomeranz be included for money purpose and out of personal disdain? Lol

Does Quintana get Tucker and Martes from Houston?

Is the package for Hosmer with those numbers better from Texas than Houston? If so, whats that package look like. Fyi, Gallo was dealt in a 3 team trade. (JBJ to Texas, Gallo/Swihart to Atlanta, Newcomb/Kela/Mendez to Boston among other prospects)

Is a Archer to Cubs deal for Schwarber. Cease, Martinez fair?

And whats a Sonny Gray to Colorado look like? 7-5, 3.37 era, 1.1 WHIP
Or is a Gray to Toronto for SRF and Greene more realistic?

I think a deal for Quintana to Houston would probably require both Martes and Tucker, but I have a hard time seeing Houston pulling the trigger on that unless he is having a really good season.

                        That's my opinion, though.

I don't remember which side reportedly said no but Tucker and Martes were the headliners for a deal for him that was reported back in the winter. I also saw Paulino, Musgrave and possibly another prospect rumored to be in the deal as well. A guy like AJ Reed or Colin Moran being the other.

How is he pitching in your franchise? If he is pitching similar to real life then maybe his price comes down a bit but in reality I wouldn't see the White Sox settling for a lower package.

Quintana 7-5, 3.3 era, 1.1 WHIP, 2.9 war... Can he get Tucker and Martes? Or less or more?

I would say with those kinds of stats, and assuming they need him, the Astros would probably be willing to give up both.

The rumor before the season was Martes+Tucker+Musgrove. It was too much and the Astros backed away. But I could potentially see them sending Martes, Tucker, and one of either Derek Fisher or Colin moran.

For Archer, assuming Schwarber just didn't get demoted to AAA in your franchise you would probably still need to add one of Happ/Jimenez and De La Cruz/Cease to that deal to get the Rays to part with him.

From doing a search through the thread Gray would cost a little less than Archer because Archer has two more years of control, so Colorado would probably need to build a package around Tapia and Marquez or Freeland. I am not the best with assessing values however.

Not sure the Jays have the depth to get a controllable starter like Archer or Gray especially if they want to keep Vald Jr and Gourriel. Probably want to target a second tier guy similar to Jake Ordorizzi for the Jays.
