this changes my plans with the Yankees as I might have to unload Headley/Castro/Gardner to free up money.

They're arbitration eligible for 1 more year after this year so they'll be free agents after the 2018 season

That's what I thought also, but under the contract page it isnt showing 2018 as an ARB year but as a FA year

I know in my Cubs chise last year it did the same thing with Arrieta and Strop. When I got to the offseason they were both ARB eligible still, even though it said in season they would be FA. I haven't checked this year but it could just be showing the wrong info. I thought it was just because they were a couple of days short of having an extra service year and the CPU wasn't able to tell they would be a day or two short in season. I know Harper is like that. You can always sim a season and make sure they will be ARB eligible for 2018.

In the first year of my braves franchise, looking to see the value of Freddie Freeman. Right now it's the day of the trade deadline and he's having an MVP season.

          His stats:
          .335 average
          29 hrs
          76 rbis

he's at his highest selling point imo, just trying to gauge who would be interested in him, any ideas?

I've been looking to add a lefty reliever to the bullpen (for my Cubbies).

I kind of have my eye on Sean Doolittle from Oakland.

So far in 2017 here's his stats in my franchise:

            8 1/3 IP, 2 SV, 5 K, 0 BB, 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, WAR 0.30.

I'd be willing to trade any prospects outside of Ian Happ or Eloy Jiminez. Matt Szczur and Tommy La Stella are the two MLB-ready players I'd deal as well. I realize that may not get it for Doolittle, but that's why I'm asking. For someone that knows the Athletics' system and needs, what do you think?

The red sox would definitely be interested in him. They need lh power and a lomn term solution at first. Idk if they have the guys to get him though. It would have to start with devers and grohme

Control both Cubs and As. Shwarber had a down year (.277/12/59) and got hurt again late in season. They need pitching with arrieta leaving for Dodgers and lackey in minnesota. Oakland needs some pop in their lineup. I traded Frankie montas and jharel cotton for shwarber. Thoughts?

Im neither team but I like to control all the trades in the league. Is this realistic? an overpay? I'd like to continue DDs quest to deplete the farm of every team he joins...

Keep in mind Darvish is a FA after the year

Red Sox get: Yu Darvish (Pitching very well)

Rangers get: Rafael Devers, Marco Hernandez, Eduardo Rodriquez
                  Need actual statistics.

Also have to remember E-Rod was dealt for an elite Andrew Miller straight up, I doubt a FA to be Davish would get much more unless he is absolutely having a monster year.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

I consider myself knowledgeable on MLB players but not so much on prospects. The trade is already done (I don't do 30 teams control) so it's too late to cancel it but I'd like to know if I have tricked the CPU, overpaid or fair value.

I'm the Braves with OSFM roster, currently end of may with a 25-11 record (hell, I don't even know how.. pitching has been lights out on Hall of Fame while batting is set on All-Star)

I wanted a versatile future OF-IF and wasn't able to play hit with Jace Peterson (was a bench guy on the team) for unknown reasons.

                    I traded

                    Jace Peterson
                    Patrick Weigel
                    Kyle Kutbitza

                    for

                    Lourdes Gurriel Jr

                    Thanks!

Just wondering what it would take to get Ichiro back on the Mariners. Haven't started my franchise yet so I don't have any stats. Using OS rosters.

                      Thanks in advance!

I would assume 2 C prospects. Probably a pitching prospect and OF prospect or 2 pitching propspects

PTBNL or cash considerations. Since neither apply in the game, a mid 20's farm hand with 72 POT and a high 50's OVR.

Value wise...meh. He had a good showcase but I think the jury is still out on him.

For the sake of realism, the Jays (or any club) don't trade a 22 year old they just signed to a 7 year deal.

So I just finished up my series against the Cubs and I was wondering should I send Marte to A ball after the first game against the Cardinals cuz of his suspension and play like real life or keep him on the big club and play like nothing happened? I want to play my franchise as real as possible. Let me know what you guys think

Rodriguez: Currently in AAA, 4.58 ERA, 1.41 WHIP.

I guess the only rebuttal I really have is that Rodriguez hasn't pitched that well in the majors or really the minors (in game) yet so far. Was a move by the old regime maybe DD doesn't care.

Maybe take him out and throw in a high C guy or is that still much?
With the stats you have posted, and with Darvish's contract he is worth roughly ~22 million.

That is like Ian Happ, Aaron Judge, Kyle Tucker area.

Cubs and Astros would actually be solid fits.

He is worth a 51-75 top spec, and Devers is in the 20's.
