I'm the Braves with OSFM roster, currently end of may with a 25-11 record (hell, I don't even know how.. pitching has been lights out on Hall of Fame while batting is set on All-Star)

I wanted a versatile future OF-IF and wasn't able to play hit with Jace Peterson (was a bench guy on the team) for unknown reasons.

    I traded

    Jace Peterson
    Patrick Weigel
    Kyle Kutbitza

    for

    Lourdes Gurriel Jr

    Thanks!
I agree with Hampshirestags on this because the Jays just signed Gurriel to a 7-year deal and he won't be traded anytime soon. To me its hard to find someone who could play INF/OF

June 1st. Yankees are in "win next year" mode - seven games back in the wild card, lots of good things from the youth, but no serious chance of a deep playoff run until next year. What is Betances worth, in terms of prospects, to a winning team with a weak bullpen? Andrew Miller got Frazier, Aroldis Chapman got Torres. Is Betances worth an A and a B to a playoff contending team? How about adding Holliday?

I kind of have my eye on Sean Doolittle from Oakland.

So far in 2017 here's his stats in my franchise:

        8 1/3 IP, 2 SV, 5 K, 0 BB, 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, WAR 0.30.

I'd be willing to trade any prospects outside of Ian Happ or Eloy Jiminez. Matt Szczur and Tommy La Stella are the two MLB-ready players I'd deal as well. I realize that may not get it for Doolittle, but that's why I'm asking. For someone that knows the Athletics' system and needs, what do you think?

Flipping through the thread and saw this wasn't addressed. I'll take a crack at it but would like some feedback because (IMO) you can throw surplus value out the window here (don't have the console on right now but IRL, he's got 3 more years on his deal, 2 of them option)...however, it may be the best way to get a fair deal. Anyway...

When/if Doolittle is dealing (as he is in your franchise), I think he's the best lefty reliever in the league not named Miller/Britton. Since we've seen the market for elite bullpen arms explode the last 2 years, valuing these guys is a trick and a half. Billy B. will certainly ask for Happ. Theo will say no way. Billy will say, I wonder what STL will give me. Theo says, how about Szczur/E.Martinez/+. Theo (Gagnon39) says...

To answer your last question, the A's need athletes in the worst way. They have a couple really good arms in development and will get a few more when they deal S.Gray (to go along with Cotton). If you're not too attached to Happ, I think him and a lottery ticket would get this done.

I want to play my franchise as real as possible. Let me know what you guys think
Diehard pirates fan here, I'm about to start my franchise. I'm putting him in A ball until after 80 games. Gonna roll with Frazier playing mostly everyday and Osuna on the bench starting 2 days per week. You said it yourself you wanna play as real as possible.

That being said it's a video game so go with whatever you want to do

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

Looking at the team, my best bet is probably to move two bullpen arms:

                RHP Dellin Betances (88 OVR): 12 IP, 0.00 ERA, 22/6 K/BB, 1.25 WHIP

                RHP Tyler Clippard (84 OVR): 6.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 2 SV, 9/3 K/BB, 0.63 WHIP

What can these two get together? Separate? Obviously I'd like to Cashgod this sucker up, but I don't think I'm getting four A prospects for these guys.

So I am going to be starting a Mariners franchise soon and was looking to do a full overhaul on the team. I m curius as to what sort of value I can get for players like Cano, Cruz, Seager and Felix? Im not sure what I can get for them since they are all starting to get up there in age and have high end contracts.

About to start my Mariners franchise. I want to trade for Andrew McCutchen. How can I get him without trading Hernandez, Seaver, Cruz or cano. Thabks

I feel like the Pirates (in real life anyway) wouldn't want any of those guys. Probably an A-prospect and 2 B's?

An A and 2 B prospects for Cutch? Think youre crazy if thats true. Think it would start with somone like Paxton. But then Seattle would be crazy to give up Paxton.

Yeah probably but I was just thinking if he didn't want to give him up as well. Would likely cost best prospect/younger more controllable player (more than the 4 years Paxton has).

Not sure who else to include . Seattle doesnt have the best farm. Think O'Neill is to much. Kyle Lewis + what?

I think Lewis is a better prospect than O'Neil. But it would start with one of them

Yeah not the best farm so I'm not sure if they match. Also depends on if in his franchise, McCutchen is still declining.
