I don't at all disagree with that and never said otherwise.

Your question was "Are they really though? And explained, with good reason, that you hadn't seen anything in multiple days.

I just showed you a tweet that I too had to search for which answered your question.

Wasn't commenting one way or the other on the effectiveness of their overall communication.

Absolutely not but we all know there are issues and that if we play a game, there is a good chance it will crash or not count. I was rolling the dice yesterday and got the blue screen error message during a conquest game and it took me back to the PS4 menu. I haven't tried a game since.

Bottom line is the game is not working properly and yet people are still attempting to play it and then when something goes wrong, they get mad even though they know that was the likely outcome anyway. Just STOP PLAYING the game until SDS fixes it like last year. It doesn't make any sense to use something you know is broken and then act surprised that it's broken. Play offline Franchise or some other mode that does need the servers until SDS can fix the problem. I don't know what else to tell you.
I 100% agree with this. People taking their game back and/or asking for a refund and giving up on it are too impatient IMO. Should it have worked right on day one? Heck yeah but if you like the game, and most of you do aside from this issue, then just calm down, play something else for a few days and relax a bit..

Stuff happens, and I think everyone understands that (maybe not year after year after year but that's a different point), but they need to communicate better. Mass Affect didn't have a great launch, but at least they acknowledged it.

I mean, they sold at least three additional editions that included various online components, but nobody can reliably use any of it.

They hyped up these areas and made a lot of money from it. They need to acknowledge the issues and release some statement that they're working on it. Until thats done, people should continue to complain in here.
Everything you say is 100% accurate but bad behavior on their part doesn't excuse the way some folks here are acting about the game either.

There is nothing wrong with someone taking a game back if it isn't fitting their needs. They don't even need to give a reason why they are taking it back. It should be a sufficient explanation to just say "I'm not having fun, I'm taking it back."

No one owes you, I, or anyone an explanation on what they are doing with VIDEO GAMES.

I'll never understand why someone feels they are in a place to judge others on how they want to spend their time or what they want to do with it.

People can do what they want and think what they want. Cuts both ways. People may think I'm silly or whatever for enjoying the game as to what it offers. I really don't care. Just an observation and just my opinion. Here's something else I think while we are at it: people must not really like the games core all that much if they are willing to give up on it so quickly.

And here's just a very general observation while we are at it, and you can feel free to criticize this one as well if you don't much care for it: we live in a society of immature, impatient people who have no real perspective and give up on things if they don't get their way right away #firstworldproblems

That's the truth in my view. The game is fantastic and even if I was a 100% online player I'd not give up on it, I'd wait and hope, at least a bit longer than a short while after it just came out. But then that's my opinion and everyone in this thread can think what they like about that..

If you're an online player, why wouldn't you give up and buy the game when it's fixed and cheaper? Every one of us values things differently. Core means nothing.

Re: Why are the servers still down?

The counter to all that is that you pay a premium to buy the game on day one. It gets cheaper and cheaper the longer you wait to get it, so if it's not working to your satisfaction at the start then it's perfectly sensible to return it and look to pick it up when you hear the problems have been fixed, potentially at a lower price.

The other counter to your "everyone is impatient these days" argument is that games companies are getting more and more complacent when it comes to releasing games with issues. In the past, you couldn't rely on after launch patches to fix your game, you had to properly test the game and release a properly finished product or the game would never get fixed and would be slaughtered. These days companies (not specifically SDS, others like EA are far worse) use day one buyers as beta testers and people understandably aren't impressed with that, given the premium they pay for the privilege of finding the bugs the developers didn't bother finding.

Just to clarify, I apologize if I offended anyone saying they didn't have the right to take the game back, of course they do. I'm just saying in MY opinion I would keep it to play against friends or just play against the CPU.

And if you want to take it back and buy it later on when it's cheaper and things work better for you then fantastic. I was speaking to those who said they were done with the game though. I just think it's a bit much to give up on such a good game because of issues that it has right up front.

But again, to each their own. I never said people didn't have the right. I just said I didn't understand people that thought that way. Everyone really needs to "take a chill pill" in this thread, LOL

That is a larger issue and yes it's most certainly a valid one. But my comments were directed very specifically about this particular game.

Getting back to that issue though on a larger front..I have found a valid strategy is to wait about 2 months to buy new games. By then they get patched and you can buy them about half price.

Depends on the game though, some games I want day one and I'll not wait.

It's easy to say you wouldn't care when you are talking about something that doesn't impact you. I wonder if opinions would change if it was reversed. What if local games were freezing every 5 innings and somebody was forced to play against a human opponent online to enjoy the game?

I wasn't saying it did. I was just building off your point. I said "opinions", meaning in general. I wasn't referencing your opinion.

I am mainly an offline franchise player and play some online features during the year for a change of pace.

If offline franchise had all the issues that have plagued online this year, I would be upset as other OS members have been in this thread.

The Show is a fantastic game, hopefully everyone can enjoy all the features and options that were advertised when it was released on March 28th.

No, two different systems. One is for PSN the other is for the game itself.
