    Re: Too many HR's?

Ive not read the whole thread, but surely this thing averages out over the season?

I mean Ive just started with the Reds, game 1, 4 bombs sink the Phils 6-3. Im thinking Votto's going to end on 80+

Since then, ive lost 5-1 thanks to a flare into center field that bought home my only run and im currently being shutout thru 7 in the matinee.

If I reacted of game 1 id be believing I could do this all the time, since then, im praying Billy Hamilton can beat out an infield single just to try get things going

Not saying there is or isnt a problem, but I doubt anyone has done 162 yet, so thats the real litmus test in terms of are we seeing too many HRs.

[QUOTE=wellred;2048794015]lol wut? It's per team obviously. 8.7 hits per game and 1.16 homeruns per game were the pretty exact averages for an MLB team per game last season, not only is this information pretty easily accessed with a simple google search, it's pretty obvious what averages I was talking about to anyone who has ever watched and gathered some understanding of a major league baseball game. So if you wanna be condescending, try not to sound like an idiot in the process bro.[QUOTE]

We understand the game, some folks in here have probably forgot more about it than you will ever learn. The problem is......we have to determine if somebody like you has a clue what you are talking about when you are talking averages per game that are not even close to being correct. There are two teams involved to make a game, so per game involves both teams.....per team only involves one team. Just trying to keep you from sounding like an...........

Aren't these online only numbers? Don't they have to be? I'm not sure if they have keep this data for offline modes.

No it should be for both online and offline. As long as your connected to the severs they have the ability to see your data/stats.

So would this be Universal Profile data? That would make sense. It wouldn't make sense if your offline box score were being sent to the sever.

For those of you playing franchise, what are your hit type percentages? Preferably, if you have more than 30 games played. For reference, the MLB team averages for hits last year were roughly 65% singles, 20% doubles, 2% triples, and 13% homeruns.

I can honestly say I have the home run issue in check at this point. Totally satisfied where I'm at on this front.

Now the CPU starting pitcher and bullpen management? That's a whole other story as it stands now.

So what do you think was the culprit on the homerun issue? I have only had that one game were 12 bombs was hit with the wind blowing out at 12mph. Everything else has been great and I am about 50 games in.

i believe it to be a combination of wind having too much affect and too many "hanging" pitches on both sides.

After not seeing the issue during Spring Training I think it may have cropped up during the regular season.

Played game against the Cubs where there were 6 homeruns hit. Now it is possible for that to happen obviously but they just felt "off" for lack of better description.

I changed nothing from ST to regular season. I will say that I didn't see any moonshots or anything like that, just the number of homeruns.

                              Will update

I've played two games on All Star, scored a total of 9 runs with 8 solo homeruns. A total of 12 hits.

Pretty disappointed right now. Worked the sliders every which way. Two games is a small sample but it's just too many when I couple that with no other kind of hits makes the game seem like power is way too high
