I just wanted to make this thread to say thank to The Show team. There seems to be a lot of negativity around here this year. I loved last year's game, in fact for the first time ever I played my last game of 16 the night before 17 released.

Now I'm not straight fanboying the game, there are issues. But I'm absolutely in love with this year's game and will no doubt play more this year than last, and I played soooooooooo many games last year.

Anyway I'm just saying thanks for this year's game, and keep them coming guys!

Agreed! Really love this year's game!

Have been playing since 09 and this year it finally feels like that true next gen step up I've been hoping for the last couple of years!

I agree and its important to say. These threads dont stay open long but i need to say it because they deserve to hear it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the team at SDS. Best sports game ever IMO. When i can love a game this much and not have its imperfections bug me, it really is something special.

That's all I'm saying, I just wanted to put out there for them that's it's not all negative. There are people out there that love this game. And I agree greatest sports game ever made. Honestly if they never put out a patch this year you wouldn't hear anything about it from me.

Now that's not gonna happen as SDS actually takes pride in their product, I'm just saying. And that's just another reason I'm ever thankful to this amazing team.

Agreed. Huge thanks to the development team. This is one of two games that I absolutely purchase every year and I love this year's game. Keep up the great work guys!

I think there is always negativity around this time of the year. When the game comes out, all the fans are busy playing it. The only ones left on this forum are those that do not enjoy it for whatever reason. I love the game, so why post about The Show when I can play The Show instead?

That being said this game is incredible. I also want to say thanks to SCEA, not only for making a great game, but making a great game while balancing the requests of hardcore fans everywhere. They didn't have to revamp the ball physics or franchise mode, replace fielding/throwing animations or any of that. They coulda just jazzed up the graphics, thrown in some new attention-grabbing mode, and added some sparkle to diamond dynasty and called it a very lucrative day.

So thanks, SCEA, for keeping "great baseball game" on your list of priorities.

Thanks to the development team for another GREAT game. It's a right of spring for me to get this game. I'm 53 yrs old and have been playing sports games since sylvainia made the first intellivision.

Usually I buy the show when it comes out to scratch my baseball itch and end up selling it 2 weeks later. Then maybe I rebuy it for $20 during playoff time and get rid of it when the ws ends

But this year right off the bat this game is an instant classic. I've been playing video games since Atari and this is up there in my hall of fame of baseball games. I think I'll prob keep this for years down the line to join my high heat and MVP games.

Holy cow what a Home run this game hits. Only game I have for PS4 and glad I didn't retire the system.

I've been playing MLB the Show since 08 when I picked up my PS3. I remember getting it that year after already having the 2K's offering and from there it became a clear cut purchase every year.

I'm enjoying this year's game so much and haven't even started a Franchise yet. I've just been playing Play Now while I wait on the OSFM rosters. It think this thank you thread was a great idea and wanted to add my thanks to the SDS team as well.

But also wanted to thank HighCmpPct for starting this thread. I agree, we get wrapped up in the negative a lot. This is a nice think to bring the focus back on telling a team that year in year out has brought us much joy.

So thank you to SDS team not just for this year's game, but for bringing me a baseball game I have enjoyed since 2008. I now look forward to what you have in store for us in 2018!

I think people have legitimate complaints. The game is rough around the edges in spots, and it does show sometimes.

HOWEVER, I believe that things are "breaking" because they're being messed with. Last years game, to me, was one of the worst in the series, and mainly because nothing groundbreaking was changed. This year is different. The little glitches, the not so great looking things, all of those are suddenly popping up because they are making vast strides in gameplay. Ball physics, animations, presentation, SoTS expansion (I think?), AI improvements, they are not sitting around, they are making (and trying to make) profound changes to the game's core. And it shows. The game plays smoother than any baseball game I've ever played. This is, to me, the best game they've ever put out. And that sort of effort deserves a huge
