Well wouldn't you know it, the comeback code...aka the mariners got me again. This time I gave up two 2 strike homeruns in the bottom of the 9th. This time I ended up losing in the bottom of the 13th. I can wait to get out of this damn city.

On a side note, I like how this has turned into a "I can't believe I blew it" or "not this time CPU" thread. Haha

Along those lines....certainly not comeback, but 'pre-determined' to build excitement?? Dunno. You decide.

O's at Red Sox. OSFM 1.5/A&S 2.5 sliders. I am the Sox vs CPU O's in Franchise. I am losing 4-2 in a grind of a game. Bottom of the 9th. Britton on the bump. 9th in the order Sandy Leon in the box. 4 pitch walk. Hmmm. I'll take it. Pedroia up next. Another walk. First and second none out. Up comes rookie sensation Andrew Benintendi who grinds out a third consecutive walk! Bases loaded. None out. Mookie Betts up. Oh I've got you now CPU....

And suddenly when I wasn't looking somehow Britton morphs into Cy Young ...Betts pops out. No problem. Only one out. Hanley up next. Heart pounding. Palms sweating. I still own you Zach Cy Young Britton....take ball one. Ok. Take strike one. 1-1. Foul strike two. 1-2. Damn. Thinking (hoping?) sac fly. Here come the pitch! It that darn sinker! Contact swing! Grounder to short......noooooooooooooo......

Double play. I lose. Good night all.

Haha. Omg did that sting! The 'weirdness' being the 3 walks rather than settling down and crushing me, but I have to say it all felt surreal. Predetermined? Scripted? Just baseball?? Who knows. Took me a while to get over. It was intense whatever it was. I love this game.
