First game back in my franchise, playing on quick counts. Down 1-0 in the 6th, get the first two men on base, then they get Longoria out for the first out. Then they pull Liriano with only 70 or so pitches to get a righty right matchup on Rickie Weeks.

Not impressed at all. Hopefully a one off but doesn't look like much has changed.

Agree. I'm seeing the same in QC games (which is all I've played so far). Frequent pulls in the 5th at around 70-85 pitches. Similar to the results I had before the patch, and too early IMO considering the game situations.

That does not mean I believe nothing has changed - yet. Those are just my results so far in about 5 games. That sample size is nothing, but since it seems to be similar to what you guys were saying I thought I'd throw in my two cents. They didn't specify QC in the notes, so it's possible the logic for that mode went untouched.

And I can't do full games right now to check those (plus I'm the wrong person to ask about that since I didn't have that problem pre-patch). Just letting one run while I try to get some sleep - pulled an all-nighter since I'm getting close to the end of Persona 5.

Though I agree this annoying, if you simply put manager hook at 3 or even 2, this won't happen. I do this in my franchise and love it. As soon as the manager pulls the starter, I go in and raise hook all the way to 7 so that you see alot of matchups out of the bullpen like you see irl. And even with hook at 7, the CPU will leave their long reliever in for 50+ pitches so you dont have to worry about that. Still agreed that it should work properly on 5, but theres a way to remedy it.

Haven't tried post patch yet, but Feldman only has a stamina rating in the game of 73. Might be why.

I don't know about that. I have mananger hook at 1 - and this still happens (pre patch)

Offline catcher blocks and balls passing through NOT fixed. Second pitch of my test game, ball in the dirt bounced through the catcher's mitt like it wasn't there.

No urgency in catcher's pouncing on blocked balls to make a play.

Disappointing, but maybe in the next one.

Personally I don't experience it in my full games and neither does Armor and Sword, whose stream I frequent. I do experience it in QC and (to a lesser extent) the sim/quick manage engine - at least pre-patch. The only thing I've tested at all post-patch is QC.

Others in the SP hook thread swore up and down that their pitchers were getting pulled too early in both gameplay modes (full game and QC).

Thanks man. I'll have to find some time and try and test this out. I usually use Quick Counts so I may have to go full games this year if it doesn't work correctly.
