If we want SDS to tone down the number of HRs in a game perhaps we need to ask MLB to tone down the number of HRs in their games. Of course not every game is as crazy as these two games over the weekend. But baseball can be a crazy sport at times.
Box score for the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB game from April 29, 2017 on ESPN. Includes all pitching and batting stats.

Chris Sale just shut me out in a 2-0 win on quick counts, threw 115 pitches. Absolutely no way that happens before the patch but it's exactly what should be happening. Great stuff. Played 3 games on QC's and all the starters pitched about what they should have.
Only remaining problem that I can see is that the bullpen logic is still a little shady, leaving a reliever who's getting some treatment in for too long, but other than that it's spot on now.
Bat sounds fixed is great as well, didn't think it'd be hard to fix as they had it right before. Much more satisfying now thoughComment

People constantly pausing the game, stepping off the mound, stepping out of the box after getting behind. They are trying to freeze the game and get the win. Then they will run the pause timer run down and the game will end with like 1 or 2 seconds left and give them the win. This happens all the time in diamond dynasty and br.

SCEA really needs to tone down the Homeruns in the entire game as a whole and also with ratings.
There should be more of a discrepancy between the high and low rated Power hitters.
They should also consider re-evaluating ALL POWER Ratings. There should be more guys with Power in the 30's 20's and 10's. A player like Ichiro should not be rated (26 in Power vs Righties) and (31 Power vs Lefties.) He has hit 1 homerun each of the last 3 years. He should be more like a (6 Power vs Righties) and (11 Power vs Lefties).
The reason I say this is because a lot of fast players are overrated in Power in this game.
For instance:
In my season I was leading the Yankees in Homeruns with Brett Gardner who has power at 51 vs Rhp and 40 vs Lhp. I finally decided to put him down because it was getting a bit annoying seeing Brett Gardner lead my team in Homeruns.
I put Gardner down to 31 and 25 and he's been a lot calmer. Doesn't feel like he's on steroids anymore.
Dee Gordon is another overrated. There are tons more that are overrated.
I also noticed that in the ROAD TO THE SHOW mode you start of with Power at 35 vs both left and righties.
You mean to tell me that as soon as you start playing you are better at hitting homeruns than Ichiro?
Everyone should have to build up to being a power hitter.Last edited by Razeart2422; 05-01-2017, 12:21 PM.Comment

This is just not true.
I have not seen the CPU advance on any ball in the dirt. If the ball get's away decent enough they will take off.
I am not saying it is not an issue. But it is not nearly as bad as some are reporting.
And I will say this again. The catcher pop time and overall response is far better than that automatic cheetah reflex of the past.
It was an automatic out on foul pops, pops in front of the plate, and passed balls magically rebounding right back to catchers.
I can deal with a little animation quirk like this than go back to that awfulness from previous versions of the game.
At least now we have reasonable passed balls and wild pitches that should result in an extra base.
And when it happens when the CPU is pitching? I don't cheese it. If it is a ball right in front of the catcher I stay on the base.
If the CPU get's an extra base here and there.....I am living with it.
Do I want it fixed? Absolutely. But what I fear is over compensating and going right back to how it acted on MLB 16 which was for the birds.
I am sorry but it is very true. Listen I love the game. Only game I play but this is a big issue. No matter if it's a RTTS game or Franchise game you can't throw a breaking ball in the dirt with a runner on 1st or 2nd or the CPU will take the base easily.

I say nope. I have seen plenty of blocked dirt balls and the CPU staying put and I have seen them also take off as well on some and the animation to get them out is the issue.
It is not one extreme which is what you are stating as a fact. It simply is not a fact when I can say I have seen dirt balls not resulting in the CPU taking off.
The real core issue is the catcher animation after he picks the ball up. He is too relaxed and has no urgency to throw the runner out. He does that mitt tap as well which also takes up precious time. And the throws are all lazy throws.
The issue is really the catcher animation once they pick up the ball. And I hope they can fix it.
But again....it is not a fact that they advance on every single dirt ball. I have seen the catcher smother a dirt balls right in front of them and the CPU stood pat. Seen plenty of that.
Also have seen a decent number of the other. So not disagreeing it needs to be tuned.
The ones I have seen the CPU take off.....they should be taking off. But the catcher does not throw it with force and urgency. That is the problem.Last edited by Armor and Sword; 05-01-2017, 12:30 PM.Now Playing on PS5:
