Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
Things I request for next year MLB 18 that could add great amounts of realism:
1) Ability to edit players hair and facial hair.....I'm talking about the non created players.
EXAMPLE: Look at the SCEA in game Heath Hembree and Matt Barnes from the Boston bullpen....neither of them look close and we should be able to give Hembree his long curly hair and add facial hair to Matt Barnes. Same thing with Benintendi, allow us to give him longer hair
2) More batting gloves, more variations of bat colors, more equipment, etc
3) Catcher Masks - allow us to edit the color of the bars/cage, the padding of the masks, etc. Put the Nike catcher gear in the game
4) Phiten necklaces, necklaces outside of the jerseys and different lengths
5) Improve the crowd noise, atmosphere, etc......slight improvements here would go a long way
6) expand on the MLB network broadcast theme and add in ESPN overlays for Sunday night games, TBS theme, heck - try to get some of the regional networks ....imagine when you play at Boston having the NESN overlays, YES network for games at Yankee stadium, etc.Comment

Jerseys to be more "flowing". Would be dope to have a guy with a Manny type of jersey. Screenshot_20170825-230031.jpg Tighten up the fielding animations a bit. Still a bit weird. More slots for colorways on player gear would be dope for an editing nerd like myself. The player models go back to the old school body types during cut scenes I noticed, too. Nothing crazy. Oh, and as much as you can fit in franchise mode, too. Saved the best for last. I platinum'd the game this year for the first time ever. I think I've said my peace, anything else I'll edit the post...

They need diving to be fixed quite a bit, too many times my guys just dive right over the ball in the infield, or seem to let up at the last second so they don't dive far enough, and just having dives look more realistic in general would be nice

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
I am a pretty simple dude; I play the game because it's fun. Now I've had my peeves through the years that have been fixed, but a new batch has cropped up.
1. Pitchers need to cover 1st almost every time when the ball is hit to first, not 1 in too many.
2. Way too many wild pitches. You have a pitcher that can break off a slider that may go into the dirt, over half shouldn't result in wild pitches.
3. Keep working on the branching where a fielder doesn't just stand there after a play waiting for the next action. At first base got better but even that seems make-shift, not natural.
4. My wild wish: piggybacking in a way, but creating MLB The Show Classic. Released the first Tuesday in November. The game is all about creating players to go with SCEA created Legends, authentic equipment, more classic stadiums. A OOTP experience meets the Show! A guy can dream.Comment

i hate it mostly when there is a bloop single that is hit about 10-15 feet into the air just over the 2nd base mans head and even if u are trying to control that player he wont move back a few feet to catch it. really annoying.Toronto Blue Jays

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
1. Would like the ability to edit players equipment in Diamond Dynasty
2. Cpu pitching needs some work in my opinion, there seems to be way to many pitches that are not even close to the strike zone. There are also way to many hanging curves, sliders and changeups. Its very frustrating playing on the higher difficulties to be sitting there sitting on 2-1 slider or changeup that should be at least belt high or lower in the zone only to have that same pitch come in at the top of the strike zone. I know it happens in real life but this game portrays Major League Pitchers. No MLB pitcher is going say hey I think I'll throw a hanging curveball.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
I would like for MLB The Show to incorporate mid-season contract extensions like NBA has and Madden and what NHL is now incorporating. Ik it is rare to see a contract extension in the middle of the season but it still happensComment

I'd like to see the energy bar for players in the Rotation/Lineup screensReally wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
My wishlist is mostly icing on the cake. Don't have too many issues with the core gameplay. I suppose there are still too many batted balls hitting the pitcher. Outside of that:
1) In Franchise & Season (for people like me who don't fuss with all the franchise elements) - relocation/renaming/uniform editor/stadium creator-editor
2) "Junkball Hitter" Quirk for guys who are better at hitting balls out of the strike zone (probably tied to high vision & contact with low power)
3) In create a player - ability to pick the quirks the player is eligible for based on his ratings instead of automatically being assigned them.
4) New rating for baserunning ability ("Baserunning awareness"), not just base stealing ability and baserunning aggressiveness. Some guys are just better running the bases than others and the two categories we have can't make that differentiation.
Case in point: A recklessly aggressive baserunner like Eduardo Nunez...very aggressive but a bit of a bone head...
5) This one's just a pipe dream, I think: In create a player - design your own batting stance. If we already have the ability to change the follow through & stride, how much further could it go? Could we be able to choose every nuance of the stance? Would be awesome to design the stance from the ground up. Is it possible to be able to choose from the hundreds of stance variations already in the game?Comment
