An option that allows you to have a pitcher pitch out of the stretch, but have it be the stretch motion that comes with their windup. Or a way to edit a pitchers windup and stretch as two separate motions.

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17

As someone who plays out each game in franchise mode, my wishlist revolves around presentation and the little touches that make playing out games different.

        1. I mentioned this in another post, but I would like to see improved pre and post game shows. For the pregame animation where they have two different hitters next to each other, I would like to see different hitters featured with a stat overlay. The stat overlay can be about the great season they are having, the terrible season they are having and looking to turn it around, their good/bad stats the past ten games or the good/bad stats against that team for the year. This would add a bit of variety while keeping the same animation.

        2. For the post game show, either the top 3 plays or the play of the game, but the highlights should focus more on on player celebration and quicker cuts so its different than the highlights we see in the game.

        3. When the defensive screen is up during the game, focus on the bench players who are in and how that might affect the team.

        4. Replace the ticker during the game with updates on other games after the 3rd, 6th and 8th innings. I imagine it working how ncaa 14 worked in updates from other games after extra points. After the 3rd inning could be other league games, after the 6th inning could be your league games and the 8th inning could be division games. I prefer something like this to the ticker, because I have a hard time focusing on the ticker while playing the game.

        5. When a pitcher is taken out, his stats for the game should be on the screen. Also there should be more updates on a pitchers stats throughout the game.

        6. In addition to team, individual and league leaders, stat overlays should also show hottest and coldest players from the last ten games to make things more dynamic over the course of the year.

        7. More stat overlays on player vs player matchups and team vs team matchups. These are especially critical for division matchups since those teams play each other so much! This can also be emphasized when discussing the pitcher at the beginning of the game.

        8. The storyline of the game...This can be something presented in the game around the 7th inning or later. Examples can include if a team has hit into several double plays, or left several runners on base, or maybe has been especially clutch with two out. A quick highlight package can be shown along with light commentary on it explaining how that theme has helped the team take the lead or has held the team back so far.

        9. Modify the upcoming schedule stat overlay. As of now it will show the next 7 games or so with no additional information. I would prefer just having it focus on the next game, along with the pitching matchup on screen and maybe some light commentary regarding what we can expect

        10. Turn the daily radio show into a tv wrap up show. When the announcer is talking about the games, have the line score and game highlights on the screen.

        11. Allow us to turn off all default music in Sounds of the Show.

        12. Quicker replays that focus more on player reaction. There should be more and different celebrations (especially for home runs!) and more upset animations when players play poorly.

        13. For the custom animations and celebrations that are either tied to a team or a player, give us access to edit them and to add them to our own team or other teams.

        14. The stats that show up on the scoreboard like this player has hit safely in x amount of games, should show up as a stat overlay instead. There is a lot of interesting info thats on the scoreboard that I end up missing.

        15. Basically I am for any kind of dynamic stat overlay or commentary that will make the games varied and different from each other.

I wish there was an option to have automatic baserunning with manual stealing. The cpu picks odd times to steal and I would rather have control of that part since it isn't too difficult.

I 100% agree with everything you say, as someone who also plays every game in franchise mode I would also love to see some more advanced or extended celebrations when clinching your division, and winning each leg of the playoffs, it's a little bit deflating to get that far in your season and have the celebration be a crappy 3 minute thing

This is my favorite game of all time, so know that this comes from a place of love.

              1. They need to fix the in-gameplay grass. It looks like crapet, I mean carpet.

2.Need a uniform czar to monitor details more closely. Add uni slots. Stop telling us if it's not in the uniform guide we can't do it. MLB is not going to be angry if you get a uniform right. Mitchell and Ness gets the uniforms right that don't match uniform guide.

              3. Players Weekend uniforms

              4. More classic stadiums:Comiskey, Cleveland Municipal, Seal Stadium, County Stadium, Minneapolis Metropolitan Stadium, Candlestick, Tiger, Baker Bowl, Ebbets (I know).

              5. Why the dirty outfield walls?

              6. More fielding cams

              7. If a stadium isn't full, the higher seats should't be equally populated as lower ones.

              8. Have TEAM next to year on career stats card

              9. More dynamic movement by trees, traffic, pedestrians outside stadium

              10. Take a bow. This game is so damn good.

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17

I have created players from every era in baseball.
I love franchise I love the stats going from one season to the next Etc. What I don't like is I have to deal with the computer bringing players up from the minor leagues and fooling around with my roster. I'm forever chasing my tail bringing guys up trying to bring guys down I have already created my players I want to play the season with.
Please offer a franchise that is simplified for people like myself.
Or allow season to be upgraded so that you can transfer from The Show 17 to The Show 18 and stat transfer from season to season

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17

                  Just a few thoughts:

                  1) Grounds Crew - after 3rd and 6th Innings, it would be cool to see the grounds crew charging in to grate the field and change out the bases, just like they do in real life.

                  2) passed balls/wild pitches with a runner on third who races toward home - the catcher/pitcher animations must be smoother and quicker resulting in closer plays at home plate.

                  3) Strikeout animations for hitters need more variations

                  4) Umpires need to be in better positioning to make calls on the field.

                  5) Animations in Batters box tendencies between pitches for batters and pitchers

                  6) For switch hitters, add Vision and Discipline VS Right AND VS Left. Some switch hitters have better vision and/or discipline from one side of the plate than they do the other.

                  7) First & third base umpires should signal fair or foul AFTER the ball hits the ground on balls but down the lines. Currently, they signal as soon as the ball comes off the bat. This would add more realism.

                  8) Balls need to bounce correctly off the outfield fence differently depending on if the ball hits chain link, brick, or padding. Balls hitting off brick reacts pretty well, by balls off chain link and padding bounce too hard off the wall.

My Wish and it has been the same wish, when I found out NBA 2K and Madden can tune their tendencies and rosters without a patch. I think it's time for SDS to get with the program.

Things like tune ball physics, bat to ball physics, meter release points should be something they should update without a patch.

I want the pitching meters to actually work. Nothing more fun than getting perfect timing with 90+ BB/9 only for the pitch to hang right over the middle of the plate despite me putting it on the inside corner. It happens 5 times a game

Opening day needs to be bigger

if you're at home or on the road the players of those home players that won awards if any need to be presented with them.

full flag on the outfield, color guard, singing of the national anthem

if a team that is hosting (first home game) has won the last world series show flag being raised and teams players coming out and getting rings.

players and coaches being announced and paraded out the first and third base lines.

                                Home run derby...

kids shagging in the outfield during the derby

                                Postseason....

the first game of each series at each home park players and coaches were announced.

show players getting their postseason awards after each round that applies.

                                June draft...

how about a true top 100 list to look over even though they are fictional players to get a feel for who you want to draft if you so choose to manually draft.
