Runners have to be able to score from 2nd on a base hit to RF SOMETIMES!!!!
This is beyond ridiculous. Every single time I have a hit to RF and a runner on 2nd I am getting thrown out at home. We are talking about guys with 85+ speed. This has got to be fixed.Tags: None -

Is that realistic? When you are watching an MLB game does a runner on second get thrown out if he doesnt stop at 3rd every single time?Comment

Maybe try lowering "fielder arm strength outfield" in the sliders menu?

Re: Runners have to be able to score from 2nd on a base hit to RF SOMETIMES!!!!
Unfortunately that doesnt work either, because it makes all throws too weak then you can never throw anyone out. I did some extensive testing with Puig to get the correct slider position to match up with arm strength rating. Its not guys like him Im getting thrown out with either, its scrubs in the minors.Last edited by rh123; 05-25-2017, 10:08 PM.Comment

Another part of this is that outfielders charge the ball full speed all the way through fielding it; they don't have to break down at all. So they get to the ball faster and have a shorter throw than in real life.Comment

85+ speed? How hard were the hits to right? What kind of secondary lead did you get? Lots of factory involved.
Line drives directly to the right fielder, yeah he's probably not going to score. However, if they are ground balls getting to the outfield, they should have no problem scoring.Comment

If the players, especially the ai players wouldn't throw strikes on every play, that would help also.

It also depends on the stadium's you are playing at. Playing my home games at Yankee Stadium, i know not to challenge things hit to RF because of the short porch. Same as anything hit to LF in Boston. The OF plays so shallow in stadiums like that, it makes it nearly impossible to score on balls hit to those positions.
In addition, JR already mentioned the hard charging that OF do in the game which plays a major impact.Comment

Boh. Was always using either armor and swords or mike lows sliders and had no problems with this. Scored plenty from 2nd base on ground hits.“If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball.”-Phil Jackson
