CPU fielder holding onto ball, slow throw to bases

Has anyone come across situations where a CPU infielder will field a ball, but just stand there dreamily for a few seconds before throwing the ball?

So far, I've had this happen on a couple sac bunts to third. The fielder gathers in the ball, and rather than making a play right away, he essentially stands upright for a few seconds before throwing the ball to first. One time I had a pitcher bunting, so the slow throw didn't come so late as to allow him to take first. However, I did one with a player possessing normal speed, and the third baseman just stood there and let the play unfold with all hands being safe. He didn't even get to throw and was subsequently charged with an error for just standing there with the ball and making no play. Brutal.

I've also had this happen on a ground ball right up the middle. With a runner on first, the fielder gathered in the ground ball whilst running, and his momentum took him over the base for the force. Yet again, he just stood there absently, until it occurred to him to fire the ball to first, completing the double play. However, he stood there almost interminably it seemed, and only got the DP because my batter-runner was slow.

    Anyone else experience this?

Check the players position. If the CPU plays a player at a position that is not their secondary position their ratings take a huge hit. Found this out in franchise when a team I was playing had a LF'er playing SS.

Guys, this was talked about on the SDS streams, sometimes the CPU will make a judgement(Humanity A.I.) to determine if they need to be rushed or take their time based on the base runner e.g. is he fast or is he slow, is he hustling or anticipating being thrown out.

There is also a problem where AI will stop "playing" on routine grounders. They stand still for about 2-3 seconds, allowing you to reach safely, and then lob the throw over.

This forum is filled with people who have put the blinders on and look the other way claiming "baseball happened", when in truth it's a complete lack of AI situational intelligence.

The forums are also filled with people with legitimate complaints. It's filled with people having good conversations and constructive criticism. There's guys giving great slider advice and roster tweaks.

Then there's guys who don't know the controls who actually post videos about it complaining the game is trash.

Who would you say you are? I'm just curious.

I know this was a bigger issue in previous versions compared to this one.. I do notice it especially when the 1B is trying to turn two and the SS covering second waits an awkwardly amount of time for the pitcher or 1b to get back to the bag and then throws a lollipop to first...

            are you preloading your throws?

^this. I also believe it's what partially explains the bizarre standing AI and no-throw plays.
