Its def not worthwhile, you should buy it because its just a home run derby mess out here. I have stated this from the first week this game came out, everyone is hitting bombs on pitches way out of the zone.

You are better with sticking to 16 or waiting for a new one to come out. 17 was by far the most unbalanced and random they released in last couple of years and its simply not worth your money.

I would get it. I really enjoyed this years game and I went through a faze of not playing when they really tuned down the hitting but started playing again a couple weeks ago and enjoying it a lot. I play every game so my seasons go slower then most other gamers but I will say I’ve played more games this year then years past.

Actually, the last game where I actually finished a season was in 09. Past few games. Not sure what it was but just lost interest. If I keep pounding out games I should finish the season by next game.

Also, when I started back up, I switched to 4K mode and really like how it looks and plays now. Before that was unplayable.

I think it just depends on what your threshold of pain is.

16-Had no urgency on the defensive side, except for the catcher who could run down Billy Hamilton out of the box. Plus they had some, actually a lot of wrong outfield dimensions. It also seemed to me that when I would go back up the middle the ball hit the pitcher too often.

17-Has a passed ball issue, that gets worse if you are playing a NL team due to bad AI decisions....like double switching their backup right fielder to catcher, creating even more passed balls. Also there are other bad AI decisions involved in the pen, specifically at the closer position.

For me, I am playing 17. The graphics are fantastic when using HDTV and PS4pro and the animations are great.

I will add this, if the AI is worked on, passed balls toned down and a few of "the little things" fixed. It would be hands down in my opinion by far the best game they have ever made.

I snagged it on Black Friday from Walmart for 19.00 bucks, I’m impressed so far.
