I've read somewhere franchise will be more streamlined...that worries me. Really hope they didn't sacrifice depth to attract more casual fans. The more in-depth the better imo

That seems to be the only things that get added to franchise lately stuff like quick counts. (It’s ok we can turn it off ) but what’s being added not other stuff, I guess player quirks were added but that’s it the last few years

Import player would be a nice add, but my bet will be something lame like “simming till a big moment in the game”

I don’t care for quick counts never used it it’s baseball it’s abour working the count it’s oike saying in football only playing on 3rd and 5 and skipping 1st and 2nd down.

Agreed! If I must think back how robust franchise was when I first got The Show in 09...compared to now. Very much toned down these days...which is unfortunate...seems most major sport franchises opt for this route except 2K.

RTTS stuff already convinced me to buy this year, especially with no micro transactions. But this is the week of info I am really excited about.

They might as well call this "Operation Sports Show Community Stream Week”.

And man....thy love make us pine for the Franchise info every year LOL.

Looking forward to seeing what they have done. I hope we ge some new meaningful features. I guess I was in the minority last cycle.....but I loved the quick manage mode being added. It made playing through multiple classic roster seasons much easier for me. I also appreciated the new menu for player personality sorting. It made it easier to get a snap shot of my teams state of mind per say.

Player quirks were a very welcomed add and I hope they tweaked and improved this (Pitchers getting batter perks and vice a versa).

Curiosity on high here. I am not expecting a revamp or reinvention of the wheel, but better presentation inside of franchise mode for my $$$ would be a game changer as to me that heigntens immersion big time.

Also CPU AI is vastly in need of some TLC in terms of lineups, pitching usage and off-season moves.

It starts today!!!

I am a bit nervous for tomorrow actually I just hope NOTHING has been taken out, like 30 team control or something to that extent (I don't think that would happen but EA did this with Madden in order to redo that CFM crap and it hasn't been the same since) I have a fear if they wanna fix the online stuff for the future that they may have to pull it apart,

I just hope it is the same but with a lot of added things to go with it.

I would lead the pitchforks and torches if that happened.

I remember playing exclusively with quick counts the year they introduced it. I went back to playing full counts the very next cycle. I love every pitch and working counts like you on both sides of the ball.

However the amount of franchise players who use quick counts would probably shock you....and the new quick manage mode IMO was sorely needed for those of us who love to play multiple roster files (classic roster junkie here) but can't play every inning every pitch to accomplish this.

Most of us are in our late 30’s and ugh cough cough late 40’s now (oh man) and need some way to get through multiple seasons quicker. They (SDS) answered the call with quick manage which is are great and highly underrated feature. The ability to jump into the game in critical moments within quick counts is fantastic.

My hope is the improve the logic as well in it even more.

Seriously hoping they've majorly fixed the AI, there is only so much point in making more ways to sim games/skip parts of the season if you can't trust the AI not to do stupid things!

Have to admit the tagline of "More control, less time. Streamlined features let you get to the moments that matter most" has me more than a bit concerned as that's pretty much the opposite of what I'm after. The last thing the mode needs is things taken out of it or it being dumbed down even further and as far as I'm concerned.

Hopefully that's really more just emphasising the features from last year rather than a sign of the direction they want to take the mode.

Well, the customer is always right, and unfortunately the OS crowd is not the majority customer.

Once again, I blame Manfred. If you can't understand that then that's just unfortunate.

I’m expecting some ways to quicken games/seasons. But really hoping that’s not the only big features added to Franchise this year.

Let’s see some AI tweaks to lineups/bullpen/trades. Rotating Interleague Schedules, editable coaches, scouting improvements.

I love Franchise and look forward to grinding through another 162 along with plenty of player locks and full games with other teams. And the gameplay improvements alone will make this mode better.

But there are certainly more features I hope they add other than summing games and chunks of a season.
