I doubt that MLB would ever, ever allow contraction. The leagues see these games as extensions of their marketing arm. Even though its all in our own fantasy as players, in our own CPU generated universe, I would see that as impossible.

I know this had nothing to do with the thread really, but I really love the new MLB Network scorebar this year with presentation. It really looks slick and crisp. SCEA is doing a lot better.

I’ve noticed them as well. It might be something new with “rivalries” within the game. But I took it as just ads with them wanting to showcase clips of the new game while showing off some of baseball’s classic rivalries. Basically a teaser for the digital and real life season that is upon us.

Most likely just a marketing strategy which this game does as good or better than any other. Teams featured were Yankees, Dodgers and Cubs which covers the 3 largest markets for a game in the United States in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.

I can't wait for the 15th! Wonder what the "Phases" part will be, and I hope they have added random schedules in franchise mode. This is something I wanted in the game from day one.

Tomorrow will bring us the first hint of Franchise mode information, save for a random Carlos Correa screenshot. Any big changes or updates (or if there aren't any) we should know about by tomorrow. Considering that I have zero interest in RTTS and DD, hopefully there's something to make the game worth picking up this year.

I think phases might be where the season is broken down into key dates that you can sim faster to certain parts of the schedule, like opening day, the June draft, all-star game, trade deadline, September call-ups, post-season. Hopefully it will be something more than just that. We shall see!

I feel like they've avoided showing us too much of the menus and rosters and players during streams so far this year as opposed to previous years. Hopefully they have something special in store for us. Fingers crossed.[emoji6]

I am a bit nervous for tomorrow actually I just hope NOTHING has been taken out, like 30 team control or something to that extent (I don't think that would happen but EA did this with Madden in order to redo that CFM crap and it hasn't been the same since) I have a fear if they wanna fix the online stuff for the future that they may have to pull it apart,

I just hope it is the same but with a lot of added things to go with it.

I've read somewhere franchise will be more streamlined...that worries me. Really hope they didn't sacrifice depth to attract more casual fans. The more in-depth the better imo
