I really hope so man, only thing is they would've probably given a hint to it in the trailer but they didnt. I at least want the level of uniform design diamond dynasty has in franchise mode.

I agree - the create-a-team feature from DD would be fantastic in franchise. Replace an existing team and roster with your own team and uniform/logo would be a lot of fun.

I won't pre-order the game until I see the franchise stream because who knows what they have in store for franchise.

I always get nervous every time they say get more done in less time. I know there are fewer and fewer of us. But we do like playing every pitch, bat and inning every game. I just hope they never take that away from the game.

Sounds to me like an extension of what they did last year to placate people who sim franchise mode when they instituted something they dubbed "critical situations".

Maybe it's just me but I don't understand why people would use the show with its fantastic graphics as a sim but to each his own. If I wanted a sim I'd get ootp but I prefer a game with franchise and graphics and ootp has microleague baseball era graphics. Are there really that many people who use the show as a sim?

The franchise stream will be interesting - and will determine whether I buy the game this year.

I'm really excited for the Franchise stream. I loved basically everything in the RTTS stream and can't wait to play that. RTTS was pretty much overhauled without much fanfare and hype, they just hit us with all the news and changes yesterday. I'm hoping we get something similar for Franchise. I don't expect it to be overhauled (which it probably needs at this point), but I'm hoping for some pleasant surprises and big additions.

I seriously doubt the only addition is Phases. That may be the big new thing aimed at bringing in the casuals, but I hope there are some much needed under-the-hood changes for us die-hard Franchise players.

It was only one line from Lick Nivingston at the end of the RTTS stream but he said there were big changes for Franchise next week and, maybe I'm just being too positive but I didn't think the phases thing was enough for him to say what he said. I could definitely be wrong though. So fingers crossed we get some great franchise news next week.

Love how changing Nick Livingston into Lick Nivingston has really caught on. lol

On the other hand, they're not going to tell us there are no major changes to it...so tune in next week! Color me skeptical.

They're not gonna lie about it either. If there are no major changes they just won't say anything. For Lick to talk about the Franchise stream and mention changes coming then yes there are changes. How big the changes actually are is definitely up for debate and it's fair to be skeptical if you wish but I don't think you can just take his words and shrug it off as not being truthful.

I just take it as hype. Which is exactly what it is. They do the same thing at the end of every stream. The next stream is always gonna be so lit!

Not sure, but the game used to have a Rivalry Mode at one time.

Maybe they added a mechanic in Franchise to put more emphasis on rivalries.

Maybe ****** in the franchise area of the stream schedule isn’t phases but rather rivals??

Maybe there is new presentation for rivalry games in franchise mode???

It was also Nick who said the focus this year was on realism which would be a welcome change if it also applies to franchise.

I’ve noticed them as well. It might be something new with “rivalries” within the game. But I took it as just ads with them wanting to showcase clips of the new game while showing off some of baseball’s classic rivalries. Basically a teaser for the digital and real life season that is upon us.
