Agreed, I cant think of another sports game that has the jersey colors wrong.

Can you imagine the up roar if colors were off in Madden or 2k?

well one year Madden had the Chicago Bears wearing Orange pants which they never wore in their life. funny thing was they didn't have the actual pants they actually wear. they did this over the years for other teams too

people here are complaining about shades or red, madden has done 100 times worse when they miss a complete uniform in a game and put a fictional one in

There was an uproar with the Niners pants for a few years. They were always too yellow and not gold. It got fixed but took 2-3 years. Patriots had dull grey helmets instead of silver this year and it got fixed pretty quick.

I'm curious, has anyone from the development team ever come here and acknowledged the incorrect colors?

Not that I’ve seen. The closest I’ve seen is two years ago I posted on Ramone’s Twitter with comparison pictures between the Angels in game and Angels in real life. Showed multiple angles and differences in lighting to show how vibrant and bright the Angels red was compared to the very dull and dark red in game. The response I got was ‘Colors are subjective.’ Which I assumed was in reference to TV settings. Except that the colors are bright when I watch the Angels on the same TV that they are dull and dark when I play as them in The Show. And The Show is the ONLY game where I have to adjust my TV settings to brighten red, and when I do the other jerseys are out of whack.

Interesting. On paper it seems like an easy fix if in fact the team knows this is an issue. I doubt they would just ignore it. But given the latest gameplay, who knows.

This is something they really need to get on. It is now a big part of every game in the league now.

I completely disagree. I would much rather see them work on something that will move the game forward than something that in the grand scheme of things is pretty irrelevant in a video game. Also, a couple of years ago, SDS mentioned that they could work on the replay system but that would take away from adding other stuff to the game. I, for one would rather they add additional things to the game and keep whatever replay system they currently have in the game...or better yet, take it completely out.

Agreed. I don't care about the replay system. I don't like it real life and I really don't care to have it in the Show.

I was expecting a much bigger Rain Delay implementation.

A simple cutscene and Option to take out your pitcher is very bland.

Then again, it might have been a Fast Play Presentation package.

If not, that’s pretty lackluster. Show the Tarp, show a Fake Radar showing Cloud Coverage and what time it looks to clear up. Show the stadium emptying out with the rain falling and tarp on field before heading to “commercial break.”

I’d imagine Matty V has a line or 2 that he says everytime there’s a rain delay.

It’s a good first step and hopefully they aren’t showing the whole sequence.

The bigger news here is Dynamic Weather during the game is big.

Other than that, pretty boring Stream. Cool tidbits here and there but overall not much to it.

Haven’t watched the stream yet (waiting for kids to go to bed) but noticed the Expos uniforms are in game. Hello yeah! Blue jays and expos exhibition game will be the first game I play!

Yea, after seeing this I'm not as excited for this feature as I was. They hardly talked about the weather changes which shows you how interested they are about it.

I wish they had waited to implement the rain delays until they had rainouts and double headers to go with it. It almost seems like they threw this in just to appease the people requesting it.

But it would move the game forward. The sport itself has moved forward by expanding the replay system over the last few seasons. Like it or not, it's a HUGE part of baseball now that isn't going away, but will continue to evolve and expand. This is a simulation of real baseball and therefore should follow suit. It's a much more integral part of the overall sport and its presentation than rain delays for example. Manager challenges and reviews can potentially affect every single play on the field.

If they want to tout the game as a simulation/representation of real baseball, they simply have to expand it. They're just delaying the inevitable.

If it is the lighting, how come all teams wearing red are spot on in the show '16 which I still own and play with. And to top it off, I have a PS3 ! I did not purchase last year’s version nor did I buy a PS4 console because of that. One would think that the PS4, which is far more advanced than PS3, would have the capability to show the right shades of red, or any color for that matter. Too much lighting on PS4 ? Na, I don't buy that. Some people on this board have suggested that the game is an early built and it will be OK once the game is released. They said the same thing when the Blue Jays uniforms were sporting a navy blue instead of a royal blue some years back. It took 3 years, yes, 3 years to finally come up with the right shade of blue. Yet, no one at SDS will comment about that color stuff. It does not appear to be important to them. Don't get me wrong; the game is fabulous, probably the greatest video sports game on the market. More and more people like me are complaining about this color business, and rightly so. We do it because we care about his game. Unfortunately, SDS has remained totally silent on that issue. To me, it's totally incomprehensible.

But it’s a part of the game whether you like it or not. That’s why I want it in the game. Just as I’ll want pitch clocks, or whatever else they choose to implement. I want it to emulate the game I love.
