The 75/25 ratio they have now (pull back no doubt full stadium view camera vs HR celebration camera) is fine...just don't change it. It was a good compromise since they got rid of the ability to turn of the HR celebration camera completely (still don't understand that design decision to this day).

Ugh. I hate that camera. Last time I bought the show you could actually turn it off. Never understood why they took away this option. I won't even try the game again until the option is back.Comment

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
Man I wish SDS would add back the option to turn off the home run camera. It was always one of the first options I turned off when it was in the game.
One of my biggest issues with the home run camera is a lot of times you can not see the ball at all! The batter is blocking the view of the ball path!
I HATE IT!!!!!!Last edited by tnixen; 03-02-2018, 04:55 PM.Comment

Miss out on MLB 17 and now 18? Because of that? The gameplay is vastly improved since MLB 13.

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
I try to keep the game looking as real to life broadcast as possible.
Clean screen, only score bug, PCI and Analog Pitching meter.
No pitch ball display, call out, strike zone, pitchers pitch selection, swing analysis.
The homerun camera is awful. There is no tv Broadcast that immediately goes to a side angle, or behind the batter’s camera as soon as they make contact with the ball.
I get it, they added tons of authentic and sometimes silly bat flips to the game and they want to promote them and show them off. But save that for replays. Real life broadcasts show bat flips, during the replays.
We need that option back to turn it off

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
I agree. For me, presentation wise, very dramatic. I'd rather this than running my outfielder back to the wall on a no doubt moon shot. It doesn't pop up all the time, so it's a compromise.Comment

You gotta admit though.. It's silly to remove the option too. Like, what was the point of removing it?Do it. (Release The Show for PC)Comment

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
Okay folks, I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I just did extensive testing with my game and probably hit 50 straight home runs. Never once got a home run cam. I tried Retro, Broadcast, Dynamic, and Medium fielding cams. Nothing that shows the batter up close as he does some sort of celebration.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
They were actual games.
I used a jacked player against a terrible pitcher with cranked up sliders, and just kept hitting them over and over.
I know that it's easier for people to just pretend like I'm stupid when playing this game or are just skeptical about what I'm saying and can't believe it for themselves or something, but you will see video proof of this as soon as I can edit all of these together.
Even if I was doing something different in these, I've played this series since as long as I can remember and I know what the home run cameras are like. I've never seen a single one in MLB 18. Whatever my settings are at, they are not triggering them... and I am blessed for that. I'm sorry for those who have to incur it.Last edited by Blzer; 03-03-2018, 01:09 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
Okay, so I had hit more home runs but I only edited it down to the times that I could at least prove that these were the only ways my runs were provided.
Only two or three times I kept "restarting" the game because every time I would fast-forward a half-inning they would swap out some of my players because they were technically out of position. There is also a time that their pitcher gets injured and switches to a lefty, which is not long.
Anyway, you will see 41 home runs. The longest one is 500 feet. Most of them were "no-doubters" in that you can see the slow action of my batter's icon in the baserunner window, but never once is a camera triggered to show any sort of home run celebration. Not once. Ever.

Call my game broken or your game broken or whatever, but there is a of defeating it. Even though I don't know what it is, I know that it is not something I need to wish to go away because it simply does not happen for me.

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
I don't think anyone (at least in this thread) has ever doubted that you don't see them.
The point is not "why doesn't Blzer see them when every one else does", it's why can't those of us who do see them select a quick option to turn them off using our preferred settings.
To me they're not that big of a deal. It's short and pretty inconsequential but at the same time I don't see why the option to disable them was removed.Last edited by kehlis; 03-03-2018, 11:20 AM.Comment

Re: Homerun camera in 18??
I'm just wondering. A lot of people posting like to use the words "all the time", "every time", etc. to explain a perceived problem. I read posts, for example, "every time the ball curves foul" and I know it should be taken with a grain of salt.Comment
