I think after being here for awhile everyone learns to adapt to exaggeration and just roll with it.

I'm with you on the cam for the most part except I don't want to see it at all. It just doesn't happen frequently enough to me that it is much of a bother.

I do think that there still should be an option to turn it off.

Meh, in reality I actually know this. I think the point of the video was exactly that, though... saying: "Folks, there is a way to do it out there. It's just that nobody is certain of what it is."

Well to be fair, I have seen it in videos on YouTube from other players, especially the new one the developers have shown in '18.

I mean in '17 I also see the "no-doubter" one from the offensive hitting cam, but I think that's just the no-doubter from the offensive hitting cam... meaning if the player is in view, it's just the nature of that camera. That's why I was saying the Retro camera may not "trigger" it.

And in all fairness, A&S had the percentage ratio at 75:25. Maybe some people are actually getting it close to that. Besides, my frequency isn't "barely gets the camera"... I don't get the camera. So to me, "all the time" might as well just say "once," and it still doesn't apply to my case.

I don't think anyone means it actually happens 'all the time'.

I just finished playing my Red Sox franchise (all 180 games) and saw it maybe 20 or 25 times on offense and a little less, like 15-20, while pitching.

I do. The HR Cam even triggers when I strikeout or am IBB'd. And one time I had the HR Cam happen when I was playing Fallout 4. But to be fair, I was in Diamond City.

I agree, I said I see it all the time....which in the neighborhood I grew up in was how people talked......if I had said I see it every time, then that would have been on every homerun. I probably see it about 30 or 40% of the time. It’s a pretty even mix as to it happening when I am at the plate or on the mound.

Anyway, you will see 41 home runs. The longest one is 500 feet. Most of them were "no-doubters" in that you can see the slow action of my batter's icon in the baserunner window, but never once is a camera triggered to show any sort of home run celebration. Not once. Ever.

Call my game broken or your game broken or whatever, but there is a of defeating it. Even though I don't know what it is, I know that it is not something I need to wish to go away because it simply does not happen for me.

                Oh, and dat Darbee doe...

100x better without that homerun camera.

Maybe it's tied to the batting camera? I use the fish-eye camera and see the HR celebration cam "all the time" on no-doubt homeruns. It's extremely annoying as I hate that thing I want to see the ball fly out, as seen in all of Blzer's homeruns.

I played 17 exclusively on Fish Eye.....lost count of how many games I have played at this point......300? 350? In franchise/season modes.

I see the no doubt camera far more than the HR celebration camera. Like I have said 75/25 ratio easily.

I use a custom batting camera (don't remember which preset, maybe C1 Wide or something?) and the Retro fielding camera.

Maybe it's because you use a custom batting camera. I've gotta test this out before The Show 18! If I can get rid of that silliness by using a custom camera I will gladly do so.

You know what else? I remember this was discussed a while back but I don't know the testing parameters that were involved when somebody tried and was unsuccessful: in Home Run Derby mode, the camera options do include "Home Run Celebrations," which I'm certain I toggle off. Maybe it does carry over into regular games as well.

I recall back in ASB 2004 that if you wanted to play Home Run Derby with the roof closed, you had to go to a regular season game that was in the rain, then exit out to HRD. It was weird, but that's how it worked (I think you could choose to play HRD in day/night that way as well). Maybe The Show has a reverse version of that, lol.

Unfortunately, it's not related to using custom cameras unless, for some reason, it's tied to a specific preset. I switch between a couple of customs and still get the HR cam...though like A&S, I'm pretty close to that 75/25 ratio.

This may be worth exploring. I don't think I've gone into HRD for at least a year or two, so I didn't even remember such an option existing. I'll check this out tonight.
