It seems like they toned down other sounds though.
last year you could hear the ball bang of the green monster or off dugout rails fences...ect...

Opening shot along the ivy covered left field wall is great. Thing of beauty.

I love playing a game at Dodger Stadium and just like in real life, the stadium is 3/4 full at first pitch, fills in around the third inning, then starts to empty in the seventh. Classic.

Playing as the Cubs in Franchise mode, when I am batting and I hit a foul ball near third base, Matty V. mentions that the ball was hit near Brian Butterfield, the Cubs actual 3rd base coach.

Don't think they get any smaller than these two little things -

Clocks that update in ballparks like Chase Field (not in real time but in-between innings, still cool)
LOB stats on some scoreboards (Chase Field is another example again)

Small details can make a good game, great

Missing the St Louis Cardinals alternate away uniform with alternate blue cap and blue as a secondary color in the color scheme (I.e. blue compression sleeves, etc).

This alternate away uniform is used by the cards when they play teams with predominately red color schemes like, no surprise, the Reds

Playing in September and Dioner Navarro at bat who we traded for earlier this year with the White Sox.

Matty V mentions that Navarro is a former White Sox that we traded for earlier in the year. Nice touch.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

99% of the time I play with presentation in "Fast" mode so I can bang games out, but earlier I had it on Broadcast when Stanton hit a bomb and as he rounded 3rd he pretended to take a handoff like a running back from the 3B coach just like real life. That's legit.

The way the dirt reacts when you hit a hard chopper in the infield .. Never noticed it before last night when zoomed in on a replay .. I hope next year they add new grass and dirt patterns to uniforms from when players dive in the grass or get dirty

I played with a historical file the other night. I was the Reds - I laid 9 on the Mets in the 2nd inning - on the road - to take a 9-0 lead. When they finally got the third out, the entire crowd rose to their feet and gave them the Bronx Cheer. I thought it was a placebo effect, until the next inning when much of the crowd left, and the noise decibel clearly was much lower. Just a really cool thing! Made me laugh...

Just seen my hitter swing the bat and it flew out of his hand towards the road team dugout. His reaction alone was perfect but I've never seen that happen before in 80 games of '18.

Had this happen to me once as well.

Last night I thought my 3B had committed a horrible error. The announcers said it was a bad hop. I thought there was no way... But then I watched the replay in slow motion, and sure enough - the ball took a funny bounce, and the fielder even seemed to have this shocked look in his reaction. This game is just amazing that way...

Hit into what I thought was a sure double-play ball. Runner beat out the throw to 1B. When I looked at the replay, the runner going into 2B slid in such a way that the throw had to be double-pumped. That reaction, which was fully needed, allowed my guy to beat out the throw. I am very impressed by the little things this game provides us. I know it has some holes in it, but this game is THE GREATEST sports title I've ever played of any kind.
