Mistake to do away with the Performance Evaluator. You could get decent progression with sim for that, but this year's RTTS you have to play to get decent progression. I'll have to shelf 18 for now and wait to see if 17 is much improved in this respect. I can't afford that level of time commitment.

I actually haven't noticed it making that big of a difference. You can still reach high 70s or a low 80s rating by year 2 and get called up as a 20 year old just by simming and skipping the two forced practices (they're not worth it and should be optional). It does add more annoying stoppages when simming though.

Actually, I just wish they allowed you to sim without the repetitive interruptions. Perhaps it's just me, but I love creating dozens of rtts characters and switching between them. For all of them, I don't really want to go through the whole process of playing two + years of games and seeing the same programmed storyline cuts over and over. I guess I'm one of the few that play the game in that way though.

Really irritated right now. “Worked hard” to get my guy into the 90’s (exported from last year) and finally played out my contract with LA. After winning the World Series, I signed with Atlanta, my hometown / favorite team and on the same day I signed a 7 year contract, I’m traded to the TERRIBLE Indians. The Braves offered me 11 years, 335 million but I reduced the years and money by a lot making sure we’d have room to spend and this is how they repay me. Kind took the excitement out of it for me.

If only we had some sort of option to manual save so we could just go back and reload it.

                Uh.....you do.

"Post-game Auto Save" on Gameplay options/general. Bottom of the list. Turn it off. Make sure it's your default profile that you're setting it for - the one that's displayed on the "settings and sliders" box.

I basically never use auto save in any part of this game. I'm always advancing to a new day and saving before I end a playing session, which renders the autosave pointless (since it would be saving immediately after the game ends + me making the manual save after finishing the day's sims). All of my saves are manual (aside from the one created by the game at the very start of a mode).

It was sarcasm my dude. I don’t understand how people get upset over stuff that can be reversed in two seconds with loading a save

Oof. Yeah, that one completely went by me, sorry. The option is a little out of the way so it's not impossible that someone could miss it, though.

Need to re-calibrate my sarcasm detector a bit for this sub-forum, I suppose.

Yep, I use manual saves as well, very handy when they want to trade you to a team you despise.

I hope in 19 they make rtts so you start out all 99's and start right in the majors and get drafted round 1 Pick 1 to the team you want. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] oh and can't forget A potential.

As I was in a big slump with my Outfielder I‘ve decided to change it up and continue with my Starting Pitcher. This really has been fun over the last week because I destroy the other teams.

I‘ve been drafted by the Oakland A‘s but a few weeks in they have traded me to the KC Royals which I liked. Soon they promoted me to AAA where I‘ve been wrecking it up, too. So I figured after the first season they would promote me to the MLB Rotation as I was putting up better numbers than our Ace. But no, they decided to sign me as a freaking Double-A Starter and demoted me. I took it though as my ratings were low but now at All-Star break I have an ERA of 0.29, almost 100 Strike Outs, only 22 hits and no homeruns against me.
I‘m still in Double-A but ranked the best pitcher of the whole organisation. I hope to get promoted any time now. Please, Royals!

It might have been mentioned before but Bunting and Drag Bunting seem to be staying over the max cap, just like Speed.

Is this not happening to anyone else? For those that don't know, if you're (for example) #3 and another player comes to your team with that number you then take the next highest available number. Last year I had three different numbers within a month or two of my season and this year I had a new number within the first two weeks. It's always been exceptionally frustrating to me.

Right now I'm just given my player (Donnie "Moonlight" Graham) the number 77. Hoping that it's an odd enough number that no one will steal it from me. I'd love to be a more MLB-friendly number though.

Yes it’s very irritating. My guy has changed numbers no less than 20 times this season. Most times it bounces between 32, 33, 34(original #), and 35. But since late August I randomly have been assigned 47.

Edit: can add #49, 41, and 40 to that list now.

Does anyone know if your potential can increase more than once? I had to start with F potential since I finished all of school, and it has change to a D. I can tell it's holding me back from being called up to the majors since I'm an 80 OVR and the best CF on my team and 25 years old. I'm sure if I was a C, I'd have gotten called up by now. For now, it just looks like I have to get my OVR to a point they don't ignore me. Thank you!
