I really like it. In a perfect world it should cycle through different views. I agree though, it should be optional. I always liked the All-Star Baseball games hr cam that was in the stands along the 1/3rd base lines.

I am pleased to say I still have not seen it in maybe eight no-doubters so far. Custom batting cam, Retro fielding cam, HR Celebration turned off in HRD mode, Broadcast presentation.

EDIT: Aaaaand right on cue, just had my first one. Guess I am not immune to it this year after all. As long as I can see the flight of the ball, then it's better than that one last year was. For shame though, still. Actually, I could probably only see the flight of the ball because I was playing in a closed Miller Park at night.

Not sure what annoys me more, this hideous camera or the commentator talking about players being bronzes or rookie cards in DD.

I actually hit 3 homeruns in a row. The HR camera on the last two bug me so much! I really, really, really wish there was a way to turn these off. I had no clue where the ball went on the last two until the replay.

I get that they have all these new HR poses and bat flips and want to show them off, but why not do that during replays, like real MLB broadcasts?

I also hate how the player teleports from not even at 1B yet, then suddenly they are rounding 2B. So immersion-breaking. If players select "broadcast" presentation, why include these arcade-mode features? If DD players want to see their players flip the bat 30 feet in the air and do a cartwheel after hitting a HR, fine. But keep that stuff out of realistic modes if players choose to play realistically.

Exactly, on a broadcast the camera follows the ball. You rarely see a player reaction until they show a replay of the player alone at the plate.

I don't get this camera cut if I use Dynamic for Offense instead of Broadcast. They added a bunch of new cuts to that view as well it used to kind of zoom in to where the ball will land instead of following it.

I still don’t like the concept but the camera I’ve seen in franchise and at least allows you to see some of the ball flight rather than just showing the batter is better to me than last years version.

I've always like the cinematic HR camera. There should be an option for it, but it's not that big of a deal. I enjoy it because I don't have to go into replay to see my player's HR swing. Cespedes especially. To each their own, which is why there should be an option...

If you thought it was a pop up, I'm guessing you didn't get the no doubt home run camera, because when that happens, there is no confusion about if it's a home run or not

agreed. Very lame. Should be optional. There is enough showboating , arcadey stuff in the game as it is.
