    No im not saying there isnt a significant difference in frame rate of course 60 and 30 fps are gonna be twice the difference. Im just stating that the choppyness isnt unbearable or even that noticable to me where it affects gameplay or the visuals. Im sure for most the sweet spot is going to be balanced mode. But if it isnt affecting gameplay isnt really bothering or noticeable to you.. why not max out the visuals if your tv can handle it. Id say i have a mid tier level 4k hdr tv and its doing great. Not bragging or hating but im sure alot of people who say hdr looks worse or too much chop probably have lower end 4k tvs. Just because your tv is 4k and does hdr.. doesnt mean its gonna be a quality picture. Theres guys with high end 1080p tvs that look better for games than majority of low end and mid level 4k tv’s.

    Then you got people that leave their tv on dynamic modes “store demo” and think that the picture is amazing because the picture is and colors are so bright and never read into calibration and tweak settings. All im saying is that with my setup i dont see significant chop at the 2160p 30 frames setting and hdr looks way better on for me. When people say the chop is horrible at these settings im wondering what kind of tv and picture settings on the tv are they using. Because its far from unplayable at these settings

      Depends on your TV.

      My Sony has them popping like ive never seen before. Absoutley breathtaking. The shadows are absoutley phenomenal. So much better than last year

      Last year was opposite though, either washed out or too saturated.

        I got a TCL 55S403 and have been keeping HDR off. Seems a bit white washed to me. Game mode on. Was going with faster, but have been enjoying balanced. Just slight studder in cutscenes. Nothing crazy at all. I'm glad someone started a thread like this, as I'm curious at what everyone is using...

          I have a Sony 900E and have been rolling with HDR on and Sharper, but tried Faster this morning and oh my with the silky smoothness. Might roll with faster from here on out.

              Also, check your PSPRO video output settings (Sound and Screen). You can compare RGB Range (Automatic or Full). Some people comment on RGB Range to Full with HDR on, make the colors pop.

              Make sure your Deep Color Output is set to Automatic. If you select {OFF}, the settings for HDR is also set to off.

                    I am no massive TV enthusiast with the Samsung or Sony 65 inch or higher, but my 43'' LG 4K TV is doing just fine with displaying colors. I think SCEA finally got the framerate issues during gameplay sorted out. It looks MUCH smoother especially on a PS4 Pro

                      I have these calibrated settings in anyone wants to try them.

                      ================================================== =====================
                      GAME MODE ONLY SETTINGS: Turn GAME MODE on
                      ================================================== =====================
                      PICTURE MODE: Game (Turn on under settings)
                      PICTURE SIZE: 16:9 Standard
                      FIT TO SCREEN: Auto (Fit to screen if it will let me turn it on)

                      Brightness: 45
                      Contrast: 92
                      Sharpness: 10 [Looks better on 50]
                      Color: 50 [I prefer it on 65 colors just pop out to me]
                      Tint G/R: 50/50
                      Thank you. I tried this, and not only does The Show and my PS4 look better, but now that I did this for all inputs, my Switch looks better, my N64 looks better, my Gamecube looks better, and my Super Nintendo looks better. I never had any idea that my settings could be so much better.

                      Only difference is, I have my color temperature set to "normal", and my backlight set at full, 20.
                      Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!

                        Have this as well, but I keep my hdr on with Sharp, and I have no lag at all. Now there is a color difference with it off, the colors do look more deeper but the rest of the game has this dull faded type of look. With hdr on the colors don't look as deep but the lighting looks awesome and my blacks, whites, reds, still look the part. Now the grass green is not as deep with it off but still fine for me.

                        I had the Sony 800e but the thing kept flickering, and colors and I just didn't care for the tv. This TCL model is good enough for me. Fortunate enough to have it.

                          I have a cheapish-model Samsung (it’s a 58” but was under $600, MU6000 or something?) and HDR looks amazing on Horizon Zero Dawn, Madden, Uncharted 4 and Hitman, but looks pretty bad on other games like Ghost Recon Wildlands, 2K18 and, unfortunately, this game. So, hit and miss on that front. I do appreciate that you can just turn it off in-game, opposed to having to turn it off on the PS4 proper.

                          I’ve kept it on Sharper for visuals. Framerate is not good but I love the visuals enough for me to not care.

                          I don’t actually care about any of this.

                            Here are a couple of good videos showing settings for the Samsung KS8000.

                            I use these settings and The Show looks beautiful!

                              Anyone have a Sony Bravia ? I’m having issues when I try to change my tv to “enhanced format”. When I switch to my Ps4 pro the screen begins to flicker and blackout. It’s on and off, but it’s not stable at all. Not sure if it’s my hdmi wires or it’s just too much resolution. I have a Sony Bravia 43 in 4k. I think it’s xbr800.
