Thanks. I haven't had time to play since I picked up the Pro, but I'll be trying it tonight. I'll look at both and see how it goes. 60 FPS does sound nice!

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
Yeah if you're only 1080p definitely use faster. When you get a 4k you may like balanced. I don't think the frame rate dips under 50 very often and definitely not during game play that I've seen. The 1440p is a tangible improvement in resolution as well. I notice very little difference in frame rate between faster and balanced...Comment

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
I have a 4K TV and have played just about all of my games on Balanced. Framerate is silky smooth. Don't know what number it runs at, but feels like it'd be close to 60 (I believe it's in the 45-60 range). I went up to the enhanced visuals option and honestly, didn't see a huge bump in that area, but the drop in framerate was very evident.Yeah if you're only 1080p definitely use faster. Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
I don't know if Enhanced Visuals does anything else besides the resolution bump, but it's very noticeable if you use pitching meter and fielding meter. The Faster option shows the jagged edges and makes it feel cheap. You can also notice it in the backgrounds, like batter eyes, facades, outfield walls etc. Bumping it to Enhanced cleans those up a lot but keeps the frame rates steady too. I notice the jaggies since I play on a 65" TV about 8' away.I have a 4K TV and have played just about all of my games on Balanced. Framerate is silky smooth. Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
I have an LG E7 OLED TV and set it to Sharper as that is for 4K resolution, and not experienced any issues.
I have it set to Game mode with HDR on. The combination of PS4 Pro and LG E7 with MLBTS 18 make playing baseball very enjoyable.

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
If you can tolerate 30fps, then yes it's great. For me that's too noticeable and distracting for video games. I need it to be at least 40-50fps so Balanced it is. Looks as good (1440p with TV upscaling the rest) as Sharper and plays almost as good as Faster (true 60fps).Comment

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
Maybe it depends on your TV? I have it at Sharper and the game plays smooth. I have it in Game Mode with all processing turned off. HDR is on and looking great!Comment

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
No, 30 fps is 30 fps. Smooth is perception, same way movies are 24fps and some people notice judder while others don't. I have Game Mode too and HDR is amazing, just can't tolerate stuttering in 30fps mode.
Try out Balanced, you'll notice the difference even if you got used to 30fps.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
I don't know how many frames per second I am getting, but I do know there is no noticeable stuttering. The input lag on my set is 4k @ 60Hz + HDR Show 21.4 msNo, 30 fps is 30 fps. I think I may have something enabled, trying to remember, boost frame rate or something like that.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
You are getting 30 fps if you are playing on Sharper
it has nothing to do with the TV and input lag. It's straight from the PS4 Pro and it's limitations.

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
If I saw any reason to make any changes to my setting for smoothness, I would have done so. I simply do not see any reason to do that. The game is smooth, no issues with smoothness. Now, if you played on my TV, LG E7, and saw an issue with smoothness, we could discuss this further.Comment

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread
Like I said, play the game however you wish... but as far as smoothness is concerned, it is literally twice as smooth on the faster setting. If I saw any reason to make any changes to my setting for smoothness, I would have done so.
