So on this, does anyone else feel the noise is not at all related to the number of people there? And that the crowd still doesn't react properly to the end of an inning strike out?

I definitely think it is a bug. In playing franchise at Dodger Stadium and in Toronto. Games start with Opening Day both full house. Next game both games "start" sold out. And I check the game log for attendance capacity. Both showed 100 or 99% full. But when I return to the game, attendance is now like half full. So I check again game log and now shows attendance at 65%. So there is a bug.

Also..at Dodger Stadium, did not notice late arriving or early leaving crowd. I did finally see after a couple games early leaving crowd in one inning only to have them return the next inning. But stadium starts full for 1st inning. So definitely bugs.

Ahhhh, I didn't even check for the attendance. I had a small crowd at a game, but chalked it up to playing a 4th place team and the next game was rainy...

Check your attendance "after" you play first inning or a couple of batters and then see if your attendance changes. Then go back to game log and see what the new attendance numbers are. I am curious if this is a bug for everyone.

Played Dbacks game and stadium filled after 1st couple innings. Very cool to see. Dynamic attendance logic is great when it works as designed.

Regarding your concerns about Dodger stadium, I have double checked to make sure it is now working properly. This isn’t the case for every home game (Opening day, rivalry matchups, playoff games, etc), but I can confirm that the fans will arrive late at Dodger stadium. You should be seeing 50-60% full at game opening, followed by a 10-15% increase per inning.

Do you have more information for me regarding the day of week and opponent? The attendance data was sourced from real life statistics averaged out over the last 3 years of season attendance per MLB stadium. According to the data, Comerica gets an average of about 29,000 fans on any given day. There is a significant swing in fan attendance based on the day of the week at Comerica park, I’m curious if you think the issue is more apparent on certain days of the week? Weather is taken into consideration, but not as much as it could be. I will look into adding additional logic to change the number of attending fans by a certain percentage based on extreme weather conditions.

Just want to say thank you to all who are commenting here with issues they are seeing. We have a great QA team but not everything gets caught during the testing cycle. I will continue to keep an eye on any bug reports and deploy solutions as quickly as possible. Also please forgive me if this reply gets posted several times, I was having trouble verifying my account and submitted it a few different ways hoping it would work. All the best to each of you.

I have one question for anyone. The only mode I've played is RTTS. Is attendance supposed to be dynamic for this mode? I haven't seen it yet and I've played quite a few games and imported several players.

Ramone said numerous times on streams that it is also dynamic for RTTS. In fact, he specifically mentioned RTTS as particularly affected.

Hi beedl,

RTTS is subject to the same dynamic attendance factors as Franchise mode, since the team is playing in a season mode format.

The reason you may not be encountering it to the level you expect, is that minor league teams follow a very similar attendance pattern. With rare exceptions, minor league teams get little attendance during the weekdays, and spike attendance on the weekends. Pennant races or marquee matchups don't necessarily increase attendance for minor league games like they do for MLB games.

One of the biggest goals for the next iteration of this feature, and what I think you may be referring to, is to create attendance updates based on the RTTS character's milestone or upcoming record achievements. For example, if a player has a hitting streak approaching Joe Dimaggio's, it would make sense to ramp up the attendance as the player approaches the milestone. I would expect a packed house in any stadium if a player is sitting on 54 or 55 game hit streak. Another good example would be MLB players who are making recovery starts at the minor league level. If a star MLB player is injured and is making a recovery start in the minors, those games usually see a spike in attendance. These are factors that I wanted to include this year, but didn't have a chance to get to.

Hi knich,

The attendance value should always remain at the highest level reached in a game. For example, at Dodger stadium you may start at 55% full but then reach 95% by the 5th inning, then drop back to 35% in a massive blowout. In this case, your franchise attendance should record a value of 95% for that game, since that is the peak number of fans (tickets sold) that attended the game. It sounds like the value is always updating to the latest attendance value instead of the highest value. I'll take a look.

As a long-time fan of this game it means a lot to have developers and those involved in making the game on here communicating with fans. I had a feeling that it would be fixed eventually but at the same time I was worried that it might get overlooked. Good to know that SCEA is listening.

We played another game tonight (Game 2 of the NLCS against the Nationals) at Nationals Park. The Nats were losing by one run in the bottom of the ninth when fans left. They actually (ironically) tied it up in the bottom of the ninth and the game eventually went into the 11th. By the 11th inning there was noticeable fan absence, especially in the upper decks.
