Crank up the CPU Solid Hits and/or Contact/Power sliders?

For me personally pitching against the cpu is the real issue. If you are half way good with analog you can shut them down no problem. I’ll try cranking the contact and solid hits . Has anyone on this thread had any success with sliders? Really want to play the game this year but when I’m at 20 pitches after 4 innings against the Astros with no walks or hits against that will get old in a real hurry[emoji20]

Wish that was the answer dude . Did that and no difference , particularly with analog pitching seems those sliders do nothing

ah, I missed the analog pitching aspect. I use meter so that individual pitcher attributes come into play more. I won't use analog because it feels like it overides those attributes

I'm definitely not agreeing with this. I'm 0-2 on Legend (hitting and pitching) with a combined 5 hits.

Allowed 7 runs off 9 hits in the first inning of my first preseason game. Gonna be a long season.

Make the CPU hit sliders strong enuff to fear them.you will be forced to nibble and create more walks if you turned them up!..max CPU hitting sliders, lower your control/consistency all the way and remove visual aids...try this on legend and then report back it's too easy....I think the hitting is tuned perfectly and is an improvement over previous years. I hope the d vs don't change at all

Lol same here, 2-2. I have always ended up selling my game because I just could not hit the ball. Enjoying 18 so much because I can finally read pitches.

I don't find this game easy at all. Perhaps pitching is a little easier than hitting, but even pitching can be challenging at times (I am pitching on the HOF difficulty level). But I also play with clear screens. None of the in-game HUDs are visible, no pitch types, no strike zone, nada. Plus I don't use any of the "Show Time" gimmicks. To me they are immersion breakers to all of a sudden be able to slow down time like I was in the matrix. No its full speed for me at the plate and when in the field on defense. If I can't get to the ball when it is hit faster than I can react to it, I simply could not get to the ball and in this case the hitter got the better of me.

As far as hitting is concerned, I am still trying to find the right mix of difficulty levels and slider adjustments. I want to be challenged and I want realistic stats, but I also want to have fun and not be always frustrated. I have tried HOF as I liked that it meant more pitches out of the strike zone where I could try and work the count. However it also meant the pitcher was able to paint corners which also lead to weak contact or strike outs. I am now back on the All Star hitting difficulty and my relatively new RTTS player does have a decent just above .300 batting average. But I am not hitting for power as most of his hits are just seeing eye singles where they find a gap or when I bloop something over the infield. Every once in a while he does get the barrel on the ball and hits it well. But he hits it well right to an outfielder who hardly has to move. No my 2 home runs and 4 RBIs in 14 RTTS games came early on when I was using the Veteran difficulty level.

No I do not find this game easy at all and perhaps that's because I am just not that special. haha

really thinking its just analog pitching that is the issue. Its way too powerful a mechanic, and once you master it you are nearly untouchable. I've switched over to meter pitching for a number of games now and notice a significant difference. I walk guys now and give up hits & runs which is great and has breathed new life to this game for me now
