Dynamic difficulty?
So who is using this and how many games does it like take you to lock in? I have only played 2 games got the game last night but so far my pitching is like quarter between all star and all star + and my hitting is like half way between rookie and rookie + having a hard time hitting so far.Tags: None -

I’m using it, it generally takes me about 15ish games to get comfortable with my spot. Pitching comes easier/faster so I lock that in around then until my hitting catches up (about 25ish games) then I just usually let it go from there mimicking the highs and lows of season, but I move the slider down to about 3 so it’s not dramatic changes
Hope that helps you some or is what you were asking

Re: Dynamic difficulty?
I have looked for a reset of the dynamic difficulty because i would like to see difference between when im reds or my drafted team. Personally i feel hitting allstar and pitching i use allstar for my ace and other good pitchers veteran for others. I feel that gives a buffer between the 2. In the end i just seem to end up there. Default sliders with only cpu foul ball turned down to 2.Comment

Re: Dynamic difficulty?
I think dynamic difficulty is a really cool concept, but I always get frustrated with the execution of it and never use it consistently.
As far as I can tell it focuses entirely on results as opposed to user input.
For example, if I'm hitting with my weakest batter and I have a great at-bat against an elite pitcher and then crush a ball that gets robbed at the wall, my skill decreases.
But if I'm batting with my best hitter against the worst pitcher in the league and I swing at the first pitch which would have been a ball, but I make weak contact that bloops over the second baseman's head for a single then my skill increases.
I wish it worked more like earning skill points in RTTS where you're rewarded for performing well, even if the results weren't positive.
Maybe it does take into account more than just safe or out, but I haven't seen enough evidence to use it.
(And yes, I assume if I hit a homerun then my skill would increase more than the bloop single; or a 3 pitch strike out would hurt more than a robbed homerun)

Re: Dynamic difficulty?
Being new to hitting as I really only started play RTTS games a few weeks ago (historically I have just been a MoM gamer), I tried dynamic difficulty. It was good at the beginning. But I got off of it over a week ago as I feel it was actually hurting my hitting. You see when it is at the lower difficulty levels I found the pitchers were always throwing strikes. So even if I didn't like the pitch and took it, I was always taking strikes and hitting from behind in the count. No I want the pitchers to throw balls. I want to recognize when the pitchers were throwing me junk and take the pitch to work the counts. I am definitely not some hot shot hitter, but ever since I stopped using Dynamic Difficulty I have been improving recognizing what I should and shouldn't be swinging at. My first step off of Dynamic Difficult was Veteran and I even skipped over All Star and went directly to Hall of Fame. However if I am not mistaken, even though I am at the Hall of Fame difficulty, as a AA RTTS player I believe this is the equivalent of hitting All Star at the Major League level.
Dynamic Difficulty has it's purpose. But my games have gotten so much more immersive ever since I got off of it.Comment
