I have a progression system I have set up for my position player.

Basically it goes as so:
I go week by week

If I want to increase contact : I do Hit total in one week ÷ 7 = 7 DAYS in a week.

Example 8 hits in 7 days = 8÷7 =1 progression point towards contact

Power progression : I base it off week again, if you have a power hitter 66+ power r/l) anything more than 3 hrs a week =+1

Max limit of two progresses each month.

Non power hitter 2hr or more in a week = +1

Vision: consecutive ABs with a successful hit in box score. 1 upgrade every other month
So if you go 4/4 in April give your vision +4 ( no upgrade for may) eligible in June...

Discipline - I do a +1 per walk (intentional dnq) once that rating hits 80 its +1 per every 2 walks

Batting clutch - Walk off hits +4
Risp avg above
.200 = +1
.265 = +2
.330 = +3
Calculate this progression 1st of the month. Each month. Once you get to 85 rating its +1 only if you hit .300

Durability - don't really have a program. Player lock nullifies (drained energy needing days rest)

Speed - can let game progress or come up with own program.

Arm strength- in outfield + 1 per assist

Infield +1 per 75 assist

Fielding ability - error free month +2

Stealing - +1 for every 3sb

So are you doing monthly calculations then? Like all games played in the month of May, then all played in the month of June? Does the game calculate monthly stats or do you have to do that yourself (or are you using season totals)?

I just glance at my stats after each week.

Its specified whether it's monthly , bi-monthly, or weekly

That is your user discretion. Depends on if you want to make a real journeyman or a blue chip. I have two players that started off in low/mid 70's

I sometimes use a random number generator to help give me unbiased ratings.

Have they improved the player lock within franchise mode at all? I remember in years past you couldn’t even play if you weren’t in the starting lineup, which ruined it for me. Can you at least go into the games now even if you’re not in the lineup?
