Anyone tried running a mock expansion draft and edited out one of the less important teams (looking at you Marlins) and replaced them with your newly drafted expansion team?

I'm giving it some thought as I think it would be a lot of fun, but it would take a fair amount of scheming to work up protected lists for each team.

I know that I am in the minority, but I would never touch an expansion, create a team, or create a stadium feature in a sports game these days.

I used to mess with them 10-15 years go, but I strive for realism now. I want them to worry about replicating what is real, rather than to take their precious time giving me prefabricated options to toss together that are generic and lame (usually) anyway.

I just don't have the time to put in to gaming like I used to, but also hardly any of these create options were really that impressive from other games. I am all for more customization in sports gaming, but the amount time and resources to pull off some of this stuff just isn't worth it to me, personally.

I would kill for a uniform sharer/creator for extra uniforms slots for real teams, however. Something like an online sharing resource to download created uniforms and be able to apply them to an empty slot within the game for each team would be fantastic! We could then get any missing uniform, throwback, or alternate set we could ever ask for. I doubt that even happens, but that is what I want for every sports game.

Oh, definitely. If it ever gets done, it might as well be done right. I doubt we ever see it on ps4, and Team San Diego will need to triple in size. That definitely ain't happening in the ps4 age.

Create a team already exists. It would take maybe a day to port it from DD to franchise and allow the user to replace an existing team with the created team. Create a stadium would be time consuming but not create a team.

I agree about realism but you could still have realism with a full featured franchise and your created team.

Never assume how long programming anything will take.

I’ve seen it mentioned a few times on here so I know I’m not alone, but probably still lacking demand: I would kill for some kind of throwback “mode” where you could retract teams and play in the old format of no inter league play, and with the old (four) divisions with only division winners making the playoffs.
