I read this morning that you cannot currently make him a DH in the AL. I wonder though, if you were to put him on a NL team, if you could put him in the OF on days that he doesn't pitch?

If not, an extreme solution would be to use him as a pinch hitter for an OF in the first inning. That would waste the other player of course, but would get Otani in the whole game.

The only workaround currently available is to sub him as DH on days he doesn't pitch. You would sub out whomever is DH'ing that day when they come up to bat with Ohtani.

Curious, cant you just edit him to a OF 3 days or whatever when you want him to be in the lineup and then edit him back before his pitching day?

You can sub him in at any position on the field as long as you pinch hit for that fielder. Everyone says DH but he's listed as LF/RF in the game too

No.

You cannot edit the position of pitchers to be fielders or vice versa.

Oh I didn't know because in my carryover franchise I have him strictly as a pitcher.

You cannot edit the position of pitchers to be fielders or vice versa.

Thanks countryboy. I really was just curious. In my franchise, he is a pitcher and thats it. I dont go to the Angels and mess with it.
