I’m playing Spring Training and almost every game they comment on the starter having a fought outing and lasting just three innings his last time out. They need some spring training specific commentary. Even focus on position battles where there isn’t an obvious starter.

Re: Commentary repetition
I've turned off all commentary. It's almost like being in the stadium except the crowd cheers are so misaligned with the action on the field. The classic being a pickoff throw to 1st - runner is safe - the crowd jumps and acts like somebody jacked a 3 run bomb.
Or there is a 3 run bomb by the home team and nobody reacts?
Hilarious.Comment

Re: Commentary repetition
Besides what everyone’s already mentioned, I hate when I’m playing great with the whole team, and have 5-6 guys that have varied hit streaks (long and somewhat decent). Which leads to every at bat talking about how great the guy is doing.

I'm not saying that I don't hear the ambush line, but I can't even once recall that line or what it sounds like. I'm not familiar with it. Can anyone provide a little bit more context regarding it?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Commentary repetition
It's during the lineup introductions, usually when you or the other team is starting an ace. It plays EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I face Sale or pitch Archer.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

That, and if you get a hit off of the first pitch. DeRosa goes on and on about “ambush tactics”.Comment

Re: Commentary repetition
MLBN commentary is on and prominent and Theme 1 I have it at 50% volume. Theme 2 it is off and all you hear is the crowd, stadium sounds, umps, vendors etc.
Nice variety that way.
But yeah....it is quite repetitive here early on in my franchise (29 games in) but I am hearing dynamic storylines and such and the deeper I go in the season I am sure more and more new lines will unlock. So that is a huge positive.
I can’t truly judge it till I complete year 2 in my 2017 carry over Yankees Franchise. I am playing every pitch. Then I can give it an objective review. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Commentary repetition
Something I’m tired of is listening to them talk about the Judge’s Chambers every. Single. Game. at Yankee Stadium. They don’t say the exact same thing about it every game but it’s pretty close. It’s cool the first few times or if you are playing with another team on the road against the Yankees but as a Yankees user it’s so repetitive.
Not sure why SDS thought it was a good idea to have the commentators discuss it every game at Yankee Stadium. The use of those few lines should have been toned down. After so many games at Yankee Stadium hearing about it every single game no one wants to keep hearing anymore. I guess the bright side is it only happens once a game?Comment

Re: Commentary repetition
They really need to up their commentary game. The same lines are repeated every game which gets old really quickly.
And some lines make no sense. De Rosa talking about how the Phillies aren’t progressive and don’t shift at all is just asinine.Comment

Re: Commentary repetition
“While people may be focusing on the hitting streak, he’s hitting for real power, slugging above .500”. That’s being repeated in the same at bat. The commentary and repetition of said commentary is awful. It’s bad when you can say the lines before they say them. I’m turning it back off. I turned it back on due to expanded story lines supposedly being introduced by I haven’t heard one and I’m 62 games in.S.O.S Crew
