The only way I really see doubles is when I hit against the shift.

I honestly would say it's been 5-6 games since I've hit a ball solid to the wall.
Prior to the pitch, and hold the influence all the way through your swing. Once the ball is in the air it makes no difference.

Seems kind of redundant asking me all this when this exists: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...ing-guide.html

I'm just at a loss. I lead the league in home runs and my team average is now around .250. If I lead the league in home runs it means I have to be squaring balls up. It seriously feels as if this game is on one of their streams where they turned doubles off with a widget. Of course I know that's not the case but it's crazy. I have now gone eight straight games without a double in the gap that splits the outfield.

It's gotten to the point where it's almost not fun because everything is a home run or a single. Zero variety. Schwarber just hit his 17th, 18th, and 19th home run of the year and I'm in Mid-May. Move over Barry Bonds.

I try not to get obsessed over statistical accuracy, but I'm a baseball fan. And the fact that I'll be last in doubles with the Cubs very soon is just too ridiculous for me to handle.

I just had 4 doubles in my most recent game. One line drive that I ripped down the line, an opposite field blooper and 2 in the left center field gap.

Can you explain what you did and what the situation was when you hit them? Did you use the analog stick? Did you load it pre-pitch? Contact swing or power swing?

I used the left stick for all 4. The line drive I knew I wanted to jump on the first pitch as the CPU pitcher had started the last 6 batters with first pitch fastballs right down the middle. The blooper i was ahead in the count 3-1 and I went opposite field against an extreme shift, again pointing the left stick that way, and the other 2 in the gaps I used the left stick to pull. The first gapper came the next hitter after the double down the line. All using normal (x button) swing. I very very rarely use power swing as I don’t seem to have much luck with it.

This is the first year that I feel I have been getting a realistic number of extra base hits without adjusting sliders.

                Re: Extra base hits.

I'm 20+ games into 3 different franchises and I'm getting great variety. In one franchise I lead the league in doubles, one I'm in the middle of the road and one I'm near the bottom. I haven't touched a single slider this year and I hope I don't have to(unless a patch really screws things up for me). I use Zone HOF hitting. I never, ever use a power swing. I only use a contact swing with weaker hitters sometimes if I'm down 0-2 or 1-2. I almost always lead the league in HR too or at least top 3.

Have you tried Zone with default settings?
