You don't need to justify it. I'm in the same boat. Look, I never begin a franchise season until I take the new game for a long slow test drive. There are levels and options and sliders that I need to adjust to get ME into what I consider a reasonable baseball sim experience. I NEVER use someone else's "realism sliders", "best sim sliders" because those slider don't take into my ability as a gamer.

The patch isn't out ten minutes until somebody is posting how they aren't doing this, or that, how the game has changed. I have a player who, last year in my carry over franchise was my starting center fielder. This year he could barely make the Mendoza line and he got benched and plays occasionally, until recently and now he's come on fire. Do I try to figure it out? Nope.

I haven't changed a single slider/level. I'm 25-24 in my franchise. I wonder how many guys would be quarreling with that if that was their record? But, I'm absolutely fine with it as the games and game play have been nothing but the best of this series. Stats looked in line, except I just noticed that my pitcher WHIPs might be a little low, so I'll make a minor tweak in the sliders and I'm rollin again. Other than that.......

If you come here and you post something so questionable (like balls right down the middle of the plate being called balls) then you are just giving positive feed back, but when you give rebuttals you ought to be able to do it without being called a fan boy.

Anyway.....

Baseball is a game of slumps and streaks, you face certain pitchers that are just hard to get solid contact on....there are others that you light up like a slot machine and every so often that stud pitcher has a bad game and the pinerider has a Cy Young performance.

25-24 would be absolutely fine with me, I like the challenge....actually if this game was easy, I wouldn’t play it. As far as the sliders, I couldn’t agree more. I am playing on Legend-timing and I have actually dropped the solid hits by one and the timing by one....it’s just what I am looking for out of the game. I think there are so many mindsets on what each person wants to see out of a baseball game, pitching duels, slug fest, etc. Then you have to take into everybody’s skill level. There are also tons of options on how you setup the game, dynamic, AS, HOF, auto fielding, running etc.

Personally I think this is by far the best version of the Show that has ever been offered......just my opinion.
CB, keep your chin up.....and if you are secretly working for SDS....tell them they did a great job this year.

Since I am receiving heartwarming PM's about being a SDS employee, trying to work for SDS, being the biggest Show apologist, and defending the game, I thought I would share this screenshot from the last game I played on DEFAULT LEGEND across the board to show that I don't see any nerfing of power or changes to hitting since patch 1.09.

Also you can see that not only are we hitting homeruns, but there were doubles, even a triple, and you can see the roller coaster ride that was this game to where I jumped out, the CPU came back and then I rallied in the 8th, and so did they, but I rallied again in the 9th to win the game.

If I knew how to do videos I would share videos as well to show that I'm not experiencing issues with fielding.

Hopefully those who view me as making stuff up because I'm not experiencing the negatives that others are will find this satisfactory.

Clearly this image was photoshopped. As a user of photoshop one time in the mid-90s i can recognize altered images very easily. If you look closely at the line score and blow it up to 4000x its original size, there is clear blurring around each number. In fact the entire image is blurry when i magnify it that much. This is a classic example of photoshop fakery.

I mean Countryboy has the advertisement for The Show right in his avatar. How much evidence do you need?

Truly, incredibly sad if people are doing that. But not unexpected with the way some people act around here.

That looks like an amazing game. Personally I can't get the offense up to levels like that (for me OR the CPU) without lowering fielder speed a few clicks, but it's awesome that you manage games like that on straight default legend.

Yeah I don't know if I'm scoring 10 runs on Legend Directional hitting, even with adjusted sliders.

I am enjoying Legend difficulty much more than I would have thought I would being a Directional/Classic player so far.

Granted, it's not straight default, but I don't see a lot of the shenanigans people have mentioned on Legend. It's only been three games but I'll be playing more with my setup. So far I've won 4-3, won 4-3, lost 10-6 and I felt lucky to have those six runs because I played an awful game at the plate and my pitchers...well...yeah.

No changes to sliders.
