More likely the '46 World Series. My theory is that most old time baseball photos are from World Series games or Opening Days than your average season game.

Also, look at all the bunting and how many people are in the stands.

I'm calling the Cricket stadium in Australia? or is it England. they actually had a game played there a couple of seasons ago. Remember this is where in the world not the time or the U.S.

There is a 'london series' this year at the Olympic Stadium. 5 miles down the road, but cheaper for me to fly to new york and see a game there!

Good point but they were referring to the photo posted of Sportsman's park not the image posted by SDS, hence all the nostalgia. From the SDS image the circle around the mound and the image of the ball in the upper deck in right field I'm convinced it is Sportsman Park (modern time, after color had been invented). I'm still not convinced there are Padres in San Diego.

lol , there are. at St. Annes, Lady of the Fatima & Lady of the Rosary. might be harder to find royals in KC lol
if I had to guess where the Padres are, I'd start by looking in the NL West cellar.

Sadly, this is correct, it's not a sneak peak but just another pun about something in pop culture.

Good catch. I knew it was Ted Williams and figured Browns. I forgot about Browns vs Cardinals 1946. Along with Ted Williams at the plate that's a pretty good hitter at first base for the Cardinals in that picture. I never saw Ted Williams bat but I did see Musial once.

well, we got another Boston-L.A. championship. I hope SDS doesnt think we've looped back into October & think its another 5 months till they start releasing 19 news.

I have a feeling there will by plenty of popcorn to go around while we wait for the game's release.

Relocation where you can use old classic stadiums as stadium options for your team's new city? Like you can create a new stadium from scratch as well but the option would be there to use a classic ball park instead.

Who knows. When I posted that I wasn't aware of the pop culture connection that was mentioned in the last few posts (which is kind of a shame because I really enjoyed Carmen Sandiego stuff when I was growing up ).

But I still feel like this is something their P R would have caught if it was only intended to be a simple pop culture reference. Like they would have realized it could be mistaken as teasing relocation or something.

February and actual news of this game can't come soon enough.

I really feel like MLB is starting to ease up on some restrictions they've placed on SDS, esp. since their coupling with OOTP and the things you can do there. With this Where In The World tease, even as vague as it is and no true confirmation yet, I'd be surprised if some sort of relocation isnt in the offing, esp. considering you can put a team where you want in Diamond Dynasty and is really no different than relocation, I think MLB finally has come to terms accepting that. But if its just a tease with no real meaning, well I cant believe thats the kind of gaffe Sony would be likely to make. Time will tell and February is barreling right at us.
