Post your favorite MLB The Show game in the last 10 years and why?
What's your favorite "Show" in the last decade...Tags: None -

MLB '18 without question.
It was easily the best on the field playing baseball game that I have ever played. The new ball physics, the fact that CPU outfielders at times would take bad routes to the ball or mis-play it off the wall were very welcomed additions. Add those, amongst other improvements, to what was already a stellar gameplay foundation and MLB '18 was easily the best playing game for me.
Also, while franchise mode didn't receive a lot of improvements, the one addition it received that I really enjoyed was how the CPU now handles roster building. They do a better job of balancing their roster given the 90 player limitation.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

The show 16 was my favorite in the series.
Allstar + hitting / HOF pitching
Had a great balance, it was never too easy. Saw some in game injuries, saw good balance of fielding and throwing errorsComment

Re: Post your favorite MLB The Show game in the last 10 years and why?
I can't name a favorite, but MLB 10 had the biggest impact on me. At the time, I had gone 5 years or so without playing a really good baseball game. I came from the Triple Play/MVP crowd and everybody knows what happened with that in 2005. I had an Xbox 360 from Christmas 2005 to early 2010 so I was stuck playing those 2K games. Honestly, MLB 2K5-2K7 were pretty good, but the wheels fell off after 2K8. In 2010, I decided enough was enough and it was time to bite the bullet and migrate over to PS3 and The Show. I've never looked back. I was blown away by RTTS, which I logged thousands of hours into. I don't remember much about the Franchise mode, but I'm sure it surpassed 2K's offering. I've enjoyed other games in "The Show" series just as much as 10, if not more, but it's what sticks out right now because of what it meant to me at the time. It was like waking up after being asleep for 5 years. I don't even wanna think about where we'd be if it wasn't for this series.Braves | Titans | VolunteersComment

For me it was 09. After being stuck on the Xbox 360 with 2k baseball, I finally bought a PS3 specifically for MLB The Show 09. I was blown away at what a real baseball game played like after all the problems 2k had. I played every pitch of 3 and a half seasons right up till MLBTS 10 dropped. From then on this game has been pre ordered every year till this year, waiting on franchise news.
While 09 wasn't the best of the series, for me it was the one that got me hooked on MLBTSPlaystation Network:That70s_Gamer

MLB the Show 15 was my favorite except pick off throws in the stands 😞
16 also played very well.
18 is by far the worst IMO simply due to the overly drama filled games , never felt like anything happens organically, very worried about 19Comment

The Show 18 is mine just because it was my first game that I actually got to play a full 162 game schedule. Man, you really feel the sense of disbelieve when you then get bounced in the LDS.
The Show 15 is a close 2nd because I bought the PS4 strictly for that game because it featured the licensed equipment for the first time.Comment

I guess that's one thing I like about today's game is how you can play it quicker, but with 12, I don't mind playing a bit longer. Way back then, literally all I wanted to do was play 12.
And it was nice scheduling a fully warmed-up pitcher to come in the next inning and not see a quarter of his stamina inexplicably gone.Last edited by Herschie; 02-06-2019, 12:02 AM.Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? MLB 18.
But if you add in the phrase "for their time." then the answer changes.
9, 12, and 16 were standout years. Although I have to admit, 16 was mostly for the closed roof stadiums.
Edit: If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with 12. We've only seen minor franchise improvements since 12, and most of those improvements have been fixes to problems, not genuine new features, and we lost the ownership aspect, so we've really been trading features for fixes since.Last edited by TheWarmWind; 02-07-2019, 09:05 AM.Comment

I would say MLB 12 and/or MLB 15 because it was the first time for me playing on PS3 and PS4. I had previously played I think 07 on on PS2, and then I got an Xbox 360 only realizing that the Show isn't on xbox and in 2010 I remember watching videos of MLB 10 saying man that looks good.Comment
