Yup, that's my concern. I genuinely don't know if they know that just changing the starting contracts to the real values will break the game, it's a game breaking bug waiting to happen.

Honestly, I have zero confidence that they can implement these type of changes correctly. Not sure if time, or lack of talent, but I would imagine that things will not work as you progress through your franchise.

They are showing March to October trade missions now...get three options of players to choose from. Can decide not to trade at this time when one of these missions come up. If you do that, you might get 4 or 5 other opportunities for trades during the next few weeks in game.

Brewers were given option to trade for A. Simmons, SS from the Angels. Cost the Brewers 2 minor league players and T. Saladino.

Rosters are frozen at Opening Day 2019, no custom ones can be used, and no injuries in the mode.

You only get to execute 1 trade in MtO.

I probably would use the mode if it had injuries and updated rosters, but my goal would be to get to next season in franchise mode, not look for awards.

MTO News for those that can't watch

Rosters are locked down due to reward system

You get one scenario each run where you have 3 choices to choose a player to trade for and the scenario happens near trade deadline

At end you can hit a button and go into franchise mode with the team and the year is 2020. All stats from the season are saved for the franchise. You can do this with any completed MTO season so it's no tied to winning the world series.

So does that mean Bryce Harper will even be on the roster then>? because I could imagine you can only load the default roster from the disk. that signing was really late that he won't even be on the default roster. and technically importing a updated roster from SDS is actually a custom one.

They said they will update it one time after launch so he will be on Phillies in the mode. I'm assuming they will base it on opening day rosters.

For this mode to have any real chance, they will have to be 100% on their rosters.

They said that the rosters are not locked yet and that they will wait until the last possible moment before they lock them.

No roster updates for MTO after launch. So no matter when you start, you will use the Opening Day roster as it will be locked in since the mode offers rewards and they wanted to keep it fair for everyone.

Mode seems kinda fun to me. Yeah, it's not for everyone, but that's alright.

I'm sorry but contract extensions and real life salaries just doesn't do it for me. And SDS can't even act like this took them the whole cycle to complete because they haven't even converted all players to real salary yet. This is very worrisome as there is no way the can adjust the system to account for salaries and fully test it in the next two weeks. We all know how real life salaries essentially breaks franchise and I think franchise is going to be a flubbin mess this year.

It's clear SDS does not even care about this mode anymore. I know it's been said ad naseum but they are not even trying to hide the fact they don't care anymore. I am really leaning towards skipping this year. '18 is a pretty good game and the bright side I don't have to wait to weeks to play it or wait for OSFM. I don't know I might still get '19. I'll make a dedication once this bitter taste is out of my mouth.

You don’t get to play complete postseason games unless it’s game 7. You’ll still get dropped in mid to late game. Seems like it kinda defeats the purpose for the people they mention that wanted to play postseason ball but didn’t want to “sim to the playoffs”. I wish it was an option to play the full games if you want to.
