Started a second baseman using the Small Ball archetype. Having a blast so far. I like the new things like the mini-games and the personality stuff. The graphics seem sharper this year on close ups, uniforms, and player head shots. Game play is super smooth and fielding animations are definitely better. I'm seeing some cool base hits happen as well. Best RTTS ever.

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I'm having the same problem. I can't figure out how to change the settings in my RTTS game, so that I only see my player's at bats. Now, I have to sit through every player's simmed at bats. It does give me an option to skip to my next at bat, but I now need to hit the "skip" button for every at bat. Is there a way to change the settings so I only see my at bats & where I won't have to hit the skip button for every at bat? I have searched the settings options, but I cannot find it.

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I've always wondered that. Don't have an answer unfortunately. My new question to ponder this year, is how the heck to not to drafted by the O's or Whitesox, lol. It doesn't matter if I make a 2nd baseman, SS, RF, etc. I get picked by those two teams every timeComment

Taking a quick look at another site you are not alone especially with regard to being drafted by Orioles.Comment

I have a created a SS. Really enjoying it so far.
Wanted to ask, in case anyone else has been experiencing the same thing: how do you upgrade arm strength? So far, the only way I have been able to is in the training activities between games, and it is rarely one of the attributes to train. Seems no matter what, I never get arm strength as an attribute I can boost in game."Do or do not, there is no try."

Pretty sure this is a bug. I went back to college with my LF 3 times, and every year I got drafted by the OriolesComment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I have a minor annoyance to report when carrying over my MLB 18 RTTS save files into MLB 19 and that was that almost all of my attributes for all my RTTS players were capped in MLB 19 whereas they are not capped in MLB 18. So it appears that for the first month or two of the season with my various RTTS characters that I will need to use all of my training sessions increasing the various attribute CAPs meaning for many categories I won't ever be allowed to improve on them with my game play performances until I get a chance to raise the CAPs. Not sure if this was triggered by the new player archetypes or something else is in play here. Now this is not a show stopper, all of my RTTS players are all now playing at the MLB level and they all have decent skills to be still competitive in the games.
PS: I am enjoying the enhanced presentations of MLB 19 and am also enjoying the slightly better hitting and fielding mechanics of this release. So I am in no way disappointed with my MLB 19 purchase. It should be a fun year."Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
Found a cheesy way to get 5 free Diamond Bat Skins (all 5 of them have +6 CON and +6 POW)
-Import a 99 OVR Hitter from MLB 18
-Select an Archetype
-Play a game
-After the game ended you'll have a reward screen giving you a Diamond Bat Skin based on your Archetype
-back out to main menu and Import the same character
-rinse and repeat by choosing a different archetype
You also get Diamond Gloves for the pitchers based on Archetype as well.
EDIT: Screencapped the Archetype Gear

Is there any way to turn off these random challenge things? not liking them at all, be good to have the option of skipping them when all I want to do is pitch without worrying about failing at some random challengeComment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I thought i remembered that if you use a certain difficulty, the game will lower it one for double A and go one up when you reach the majors, is that correct? for example lets say my difficulty is all star, in aa ball it will actually be veteran and hall of fame in majors.Comment

Why? Nothing happens when you fail them, you don't suffer any negatives for failing them you all that happens is you don't get the bonus XPComment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I can’t seem to add a 4th pitch. It should be the same as last year with it being a training option when you reach the majors but yet I’m in year 4 of the Majors with my pitcher and I haven’t yet gotten the option to add a pitch?Comment
