This game just plays so damn good. Yes I've had some framerate issues. But man, the gameplay is awesome!

Absolutely 100% disagree , imo pitching is no harder and the cpu can’t hit with risp. On analog pitching I’m between 80% - 85% strike ratio on legend . A bit better on meter pitching but still not giving up much to the cpu

I guess pressing a button and letting go of the controller is an appealing way to pitch for some people

Actually for a **** ton of people. Everyone enjoys the game the way they want. Don’t crap on peoples controls schemes.

                  It’s all good.

Re: MLB 19: First Impressions Thread (IMPRESSIONS ONLY)

Let me preface this post by saying that I have been playing the Show since 2007 and it is the main reason that I purchased a PS3. Additionally it has always been a day 1 purchase for me. With my utter disgust at the lack of any attention at all to franchise mode, with the exception of real salaries, I had no intent on this years edition being a day 1 purchase for me. The Show 18 got shelved for me last year about a month into playing it because it just felt stale to me.

My 21 year old son text me at about 315 today while I was at work and asked me if I had bought the Show yet. I told him no and he said " Ok good I just bought us both copies". Now my son has also been a show-holic since around 2009 and I didn't want to disappoint him and tell him that I really had no intentions of buying it this year so I replied " I will give you the money when I get home". In his defense he tried not to take the money but I wouldn't take no for an answer .

Needless to say as much as I wanted to hate this game because of the lack of attention to franchise mode, It pains me to say this " It's amazing"!!!!!

The game plays a brilliant game of baseball on the field and the presentation is really Awesome. I played a exhibition game Phillies (me) vs. NYM. deGrom violated me LOL and I lost the game 3-1 however it was the most fun I've had playing this game in a long time. I really don't know how to say this other than the game feels "Alive" .

I have not experienced any stuttering issues, except for when the game was loading during the Red Sox/Dodgers game. The fielding improvements, hit variety, and game intensity just feels right. No outs off hitting the pitcher in the legs, no outfield suction and getting stuck against the walls. The game is much improved and very polished.

I am still disappointed as stated before , but I am back in it for this year and if improvements are made to next years edition to franchise, this game can once again overtake NBA 2K as the best sports game on the market.

One major disappointment for me is the lack of detail to rosters but hopefully that is rectified in the first roster update.

Again I hate to say it because I had so much pre-release anger and wanted to hate this game, but RUN do not Walk to get the show. Let's have a great season and everyone enjoy.

I'm in love with the retro fielding camera!

Lots of the black players looks Mexican or tanned. Chris Bostick and Cedric Mullins so far. Not dark enough.

But good news for Red Sox Fan, Swihart finally has a decent face scan.

My much too early super honeymoon biased take after 6 innings:

These damn camera cuts plus new presentation changes the entire feel of this game.

Oh, and did I mention how much I love presentation?

Classic is the only method that actually simulates playing the game.

If you are brand new to these forums I can understand why you wouldn’t know that but if you played this game more than a couple of years you should’ve read one of the hundreds of posts on the subject

Classic involves no user skill. How is it fun hitting a button and letting the game decide ?

Having attributes combined with user skill is how I prefer to play any sports game personally
